Very cool! I like the trippy background effects. Also the game crashed for me a couple times on the score screen, I think it only happened when I got above 200k score.

Really well made! It just kind of felt like it needed more. like better enemy ai, or different enemy types, maybe something more tying the day and night together. Overall great submission!

Very fun and casual! Also I this is the first game I've seen with slippery movement where it actually improves the game feel, congrats!

Really fun! An ingame tutorial could be nice.

Loved the ending! Easily 1 star :D

Took me a while to figure out everything even after I read the description, so maybe things could be explained a bit better somewhere in game. But once I figured out what was going on, it's was good time! Felt very frantic (in a good way), and I really liked the music and sound design.

Very cool and satisfying concept! I definitely could see this going in some interesting directions if continued. Like the mana didn't really matter because I ended up with over a million at the end anyway, that could be more limited creating some strategy. Maybe it could be a highscore game where you have to destroy as much as possible before running out of mana. Maybe it could be a strategy game with different levels being different cities that each progressively get harder to fully destroy. Whatever you do, this is pretty cool already!

This is the kind of game that probably doesn't need a lot of work in the art department. But despite that every single thing is packed with little touches that are barely noticeable, but still make a big impact overall! Like the bits of debris coming down from the ceiling whenever you move stuff.  You could've just skipped that and nobody would've even thought about it, but the thought was put in to add that and so many other things and I love it so much!

The visuals, and the audio, and the juicy effects! If this isn't at least top 100 game then I don't know what is. Only complaint is that sometimes it felt like things would or wouldn't happen at random. Like I would hit something and nothing would happen, or there would be no enemies on screen and I would get hit by something invisible.

While it's not exactly a game, the visuals and especially the audio are so good! I laughed so hard the first time I saw how over the top the pipes are.

I like it! It felt a bit too random though. Doing 1 damage on a 1-6 damage attack just feels bad. I think it would be fine, but all of the abilities are like that. Having random elements is nice, but too much goes against the point of a strategy game.

Very cool! I'd love to see more levels, including a very easy introductory level or two. Also the first 2 levels can be skipped by just pushing the player with the blocks without ever starting them.

Very fun concept! I don't really expect it from a jam entry, but if you expand this at all you should add an instant replay with a really exaggerated trail behind the bullet.

This really says a lot about the economy! 10/10

Yeah, I really want to do post jam version with better balancing.

Love this! More harder levels could be cool.

I love the artstyle, the writing, and all the cool different mechanics! I don't really have any criticism to give that hasn't already been said other than maybe you could show how many collectables the player has picked up.

Amazing concept and incredible execution! A guide showing where the monsters will go when launched might've been nice.

Team Bugulon does it again!

Very fun to play, and the music is so good! It did feel a bit to easy when you were just fighting enemies though. Maybe if they moved faster than you, and to counter that you had more accuracy.

Also Just curious, did you make the music before or during the jam?

Very fun! Would've liked to maybe see more strategy emerging more the different units and towers, but this is already great for 48 hours.

I was really confused before my first death, but that reveal and mechanic are so cleverly done! My only criticism is that it might be nice if the AI had more health, because I won after only 4 attempts which was a bit disappointing since slowly building up an army was really satisfying.

This is really cool! Very impressive for 48 hours as well. I do wish that it was easier to control, it felt to fast and slippery for the size of the platforms most of the time.

10/10 would go into financial instability again!

I really like this take on the theme, and the game was a blast! I did have a couple issues.

  • On keyboard I kept accidentally bookmarking the page and closing the tab because the controls happened to match with key binds in my browser. I did switch to controller and I had no issues there.
  • I also think that the game could've been presented a little better. It wasn't super clear at first that some enemies can't be hit by one of the characters. And it felt very clunky having to look up at the top of my screen to see my stats.

I really like this idea, and I hope you expand upon it after the jam!

This game looks and sounds cool, but it felt like I was just clicking on whatever character happened to have the highest percentage under their name the whole time.

I really like the movement system, it's simple, but it creates a lot of depth. And having a leaderboard was a very nice touch. I probably would've went for first place, but I found it frustrating when I kept accidentally hitting the edge of the screen because it wouldn't turn fast enough, which I'd say is the only downside to the way the movement is set up. Only other small bit of feedback is that maybe the telegraphs of where the missiles will travel could flash a little bit right before they're fired. Other than that very clean and fun to play!

I like the idea, it just doesn't really feel finished. But you still submitted something which is more than a lot of other people can say, so congrats!

It's fun to play, I think there could've been some more depth to defending the fridge though. And I love how goofy this is! but I do wish that the music better reflected that. Overall good submission, congrats!

I really like the vibe of this game! Very cute art, music, and effects. Would have loved to see a few more levels though.

(1 edit)

Shiftmine is a roguelite where you explore an ever-changing monster infested mine, and collect ores to purchase upgrades from your boss. Over time you'll be able to change the layout of the mine to travel faster, mine more, and live longer, and eventually take down your boss to free yourself from the mines.

This is a project a started a while ago as a birthday present. And now after 6 months it's a very overdue, but finished birthday present. I hope you all enjoy playing this as much as I enjoyed making it!

The movement randomly seems to go from sluggish to warpspeed whenever it feels like, but the weird thing is I actually really liked it. It's certainly the most unique platformer character controllers I've ever seen, and I think with some tweaking it could feel more controllable and allow for true mastery of the movement. Thank you for making this!

Very nice, I really like how forgiving it feels! I was able to get a high score of 199

Ok I got it working after I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, it turns out placing buildings only works the first time you run the game (at least on my end), and I think I closed out of and reopened the game before the first time I tried it.

Glad I got to play it, it's very good! I finished in just under 400 seconds

Very cool, also I appreciate the cookies at the end :)

This game is a really good example of going a long way with very few sprites, very resourceful!

Only nitpick is that I wish there was countdown before the level starts.

it's all good!

This is so polished! I love it!

Also I think only being able to blow bubbles to the left and right is a bit limiting, having some more control over the direction would be nice.
