How does your game fit the theme?
the two circles are joined together, also we didn't make any art 😅, we just used squares and circles 😂

Not sure what I was doing wrong but not matter which way I went down and where I positioned the two circles I kept dying some how and never on the same spot and sometimes it respawned like 3 times in  a row. Also,  it looks like everything is zoomed in making it hard to see. Now, I know this is your first jam and it didn't go as well as you thought so let me say "Congrats on submitting something as often people give up and don't do that" Submitting is always step number to getting better. Another advise I remind myself every jam I participate is "Pick a game mechanic and polish it. Keep it small and within your abilities leaving room for mistakes to happen and last minute fixes" That tends to keep my projects manageable enough where I might not be able to implement everything but the core mechanic is there.

Honestly, considering your constraints, this is really interesting and fun! I have bounced off of much more polished games – not even jam games but actual finished games – faster than I did with yours. I think having the walls damage you is a bit brutal for the first level (and confusing since your rope can go through them) but otherwise I feel like this had way more to it than I expected when I loaded it up. Great work!

It's tough when a great jam game runs out of time - I found the level surprisingly engaging and wish I could play some more! Any plans to make some after the jam? With some juice and music added could be a fun little game.

@ZXTube this a good concept, although it looks a little bland, if you probably add some game juice to it, it will become a little more interesting overall good work :D

Very interesting and enjoyable concept, that said, I find it so difficult it's infuriating lol

Developer(+1)

My dad tried to play it, but he just gave up because it's too difficult, lol

Nice concept, it would be great some sound, but very cool for your first jam!

Good job! I don't think I fully understood what was making me lose, but I do like the idea. Also, I have to say that the "running out of time" thing will never go away even after 50 jams :) So good work on this one and I hope you keep making games.

yeah, I didn't have enough time to put a tutorial, also, the game doesn't have a running out of time thing, I don't know what you mean, thanks for the feedback though (   :

Congratulations on submitting for your first Jam! Took me a bit to figure out that the walls hurt the balls but only the angles hurt the rope. Made it through after that. A bit of explanation at the beginning might be nice to get people into it quicker, and a great tip for jams is to work with a really constrained color palette, makes things feel well designed but takes no extra time to do.

Developer (1 edit)

thanks. I kind of ran out of time and I just placed the controls text at the last 10 minutes. also, the only reason the walls hurt the circles is because I couldn't get the circles to collide with the walls, so I just made it restart the round😅

im still quite confused why i die so often(im probably bad or i just didnt understand the concept) but nice rope physics haha

Developer(+1)

the spikes cut the rope, but the walls hurt the walls, pretty complicated😅.

I spent around half of the 48 hours trying to get the rope physics to work, even though I got them from a youtube video😅

Not nearly forgiving enough and has such a hard reset. Cool concept though.
