Nice retro shooter. As you must know, some sound/music will add a lot.
The game feel good, but the relation between your strength and the number of ennemy is not trivial (at first I was thinking it was related to your life). It perhaps need some gauge that fill when ennemy arrive, and empty when ennemy die. And when it's completly fill, let you choose an upgrade (fire rate/speed/armor, etc...)
But I know 48H it's really short.
Well done for this short amount of time.
This was a really fun concept! The controls feel a bit stiff, but I'm sure that could be adjusted if given more time than 48 hours. Nice idea!
Nice game overall, pretty fun to play. Good idea but I'd say that it needs more variety. Fire rate is good but probably it needs something more, maybe different effects if you connected to different enemies types, like split bullets like in classic arcades, increased armor etc. Maybe the missile launcher is implemented like that, I'm not quite sure. The art is good but the game definitely will benefit from music and sound effects.
Reasonably fun game, but the concept is heavily overused. The connection to the theme is good in theory, but in practice, a greater fire rate has little impact on the game beyond a point. It looks decent overall, but the screen gets cluttered very quickly and the lack of sound effects and music hurts it a lot. Overall, a decent game in most respects, but it has some issues.
Fun game. Good concept, but not well executed imo. The issue is that the number of enemies on screen is not something that an amateur player has much control over (they spawn/respawn far too quickly), so it really just fees like a normal space shooter. As that it is fun, the art is good, but the lack of any sound effects or music is really bad. The menu's are standard Godot, but that's not really a big deal for a jam game. Overall, you've created a fun game, a little bit more polish would have gone a long way.
