How does your game fit the theme?
For joined together, we thought about how games usually just have you collect items. We wanted each collected Item to have a positive and negative effect. For example, in our game, you can aim to pick up all the cart but as a result, your train will be slower and more vulnerable to enemies. Also, we felt that breaking train cart connections should also have positive and negative effects as well. You have an option to eject carts from the back of the train to gain a speed boost, but in doing so you lose precious cargo.

What a take on the theme! I really liked having your number of carriages linked to your speed, though it could probably use a bit of fine tuning as with very few carriages the train becomes incredibly difficult to control, which I assume was not the intention. It would also be nice if there was a way to choose which carriage to eject as well, and it would be nice if upon collecting a carriage it immediately attached itself to then end of the train rather than moving slowly along the other carriages, which I think may be the cause of the glitch where the carriages get tangled.

Also I really like the music, the calm theme suits the atmosphere very well and it is cool how it seamlessly goes from calm to "you are getting shot!!", however during one of the days I happened to run out of fuel while getting attacked which caused the bandit music to continue playing, and when I ran into another bandit another layer of the bandit music was added on top until I went out of range.

Overall great stuff though!

Thank you for playing and giving good feed back, we aim to fix those sorts of bugs for the next update!

I liked the concept a lot, but I had some slowdowns and sometimes the cargo would get stuck trying to go to the end of the line. But I really enjoyed the core loop, I found it to be a very calm experience. Good stuff!

a unique idea which I can't appreciate enough. controls feel smooth, music is good, and a space train concept itself is deeply nostalgic for anyone who knows what Galaxy Express 999 is :) I think this game deserves to get some polishing after the jam is over. well done!

Found a bug where the train tangled. Slowed me down a lot, otherwise I wouldn’t have cared.

Other than that, the game looks great and the controls feel natural. Can’t wait to see what you make next year!

It’s a cool concept, and it’s even visually kind of interesting, but it could use some polishing.

The game feel and mechanics could use some work, the train is kind of hard to control regardless of whether the player has a lot of cargo or very little, and it’s hard to pick the train cars up, they tend to just kind of bounce off. It’s also really hard to tell if you’ve managed to pick something up or not once the train is longer than a dozen cars or so because they go off screen.

In terms of graphics, there are some jaggies that I found distracting, so I guess it could use some kind of anti-aliasing to look more appealing. I really like the concept though and I’m a fan of these kinds of resource collecting games, and would like to see some more depth added to this on improving the looks and mechanics, and then it would be hard to pass up.

Fantastic visuals. And I like the arcade-y gameplay loop, but after awhile I was confused what I should be doing.

Hah ha thank you! Yes unfortunately we are aware of the games fault in its end goal. We hope to fix that in the near future. We appreciate you taking the time to play and also leaving behind your feedback.

Very interesting idea! Tough to navigate without a map which was a bit frustrating.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! We understand that and are considering the navigation issue.  We appreciate your feedback.

Nive game ! With more wagon type, it could be interesting (like a turret to protect from pirates)

Developer

Yes indeed that's a great idea! Thanks for playing our game 🙌

A very nice game, but it gets boring if played for longer

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, we will work in making things more interesting for longer plays. We have a huge backlog but there was not a lot of time to do most of it.

Had a bit fun in the beginning but started to get dry at day 3.. Maybe something rewarding or more dangerous like upgrade between the days?

Developer

Thank you for your feedback and for playing it. Indeed some playthroughs can get really boring after the first days, we intent to reiterate on that this week, but unfortunately we couldn't do it in the time of the jam :(

Cool idea! With more time I think this one has some real potential!
