Fun game to play, very easy and basic.  Just shoot and get out!  The art can be more complex and interesting  and the controls could be a little more fine, but just having to use the mouse works for me very well.  I managed to escape the lab, so that made me feel good.  New levels with more complexity would be welcomed.

While the core idea was nice in of itself, I do think the game could be improved on. The enviorments were a bit samey and at times it was dificult to navigate. However I do think that overall it is still a good game, but with some serious flaws.

I also think that you could add some new mechanics to spice up the gameplay and make less hit and run. For example, what if there were enemies that shoot back? Or what if shooting too many lasers really quickly by spamming the spacebar lead to the player overheating and having to stop moving? I don't know, something like that.

Still, I hope you had fun with the jam and that you continue to expand the game!

Thank you for your kind words and I do plan to continue working on the game but I was unable to work on those mechanics since I lost several hours for various reasons. About the levels, well to be honest I made them in the last 15 minutes of the jam so I do agree with that. Have a nice day!

The thing with trying to make your controls "out of control" is that you should still focus on making the game as fun as possible. If the character went directly towards the mouse rather than only at 90 degree increments it could have helped. Was still enjoyable and nice pixel art! (Can't comment on the sound as am using Firefox but I'll assume it was also great!)

(If you want to check out the game I worked on would be appreciated :)

The controls are pretty hard and that s really frustrating . was  it "out of control" because of the  character hard to control?

Interesting game, I like the graphics and intuitiveness of it. However, there are 2 cons: the controls could have been better, and the game does not match the theme. using a mouse to move around made the player a bit difficult to move, perhaps WASD? maybe this is intentional, then well done! Just because the story is about someone out of control does not match the theme in itself, perhaps you could have added some more core gameplay features that make the game out of control. Besides this, the game itself was great!

Thank you for posting! The controls were intentional to fit the theme but I agree some things could have been better.
