Hello! My turn to review, hehe
Mirroring what crustyjon said!
The turning being that slow is weird, as you first are compelled to stay in one place and avoid the red ones. So, you try to stay in your spot and kinda manouver around the chaos, yet the turning is really slow so you really can't. It kinda forces you to move to the front and start steering, however you don't really feel the need to do so until the chaos actually starts happening, when there are various big red circles. There the game is at its most fun!
I do think it ended quite quickly when all the bad ones got together into a big ball of death, because it was really easy to avoid and exploit the wall in the middle, so it was just a waiting game.
It's got potential! specially the first parts and the middle game, as some kind of chaos simulator!
Thanks man! It could definitely use more balancing!
I like the ideas explored though there are a few tweaks I would make. First, the "bad ones" spawn immediately when 2 bump into each other, meaning you die instantly if you touch anything, and the turning is too slow. With these two fixes though, it could be a lovely little game! Good start!
Hi there! Good point on the turning speed, although we setteld on that speed trying to balance the responsiveness and the game difficulty.
What would have you done to improve the spawning of the "bad ones"?
If possible, make them spawn like a second or two after the bump. That way if it happens, the player can go "Oh shoot!" and run away, then a bad one spawns and the chaos continues. Thanks for the reply, it's great to see developers responding to feedback!
