Good try! A few packs used, did it include characters and items or was it just the enviroment? Well, it was a enjoyable little game, I would say that a few things were lost due to a lack of explaination.

I can sprint with Shift apparently and also use Space Bar to Jump. I don't think I need to use E to pick up trash so much as just be near them,  using E on the machine uses a bottle and processes a recycle bin and drains energy, with that recycle bin, I can delete people dropping litter, whilst trash bags are to refuel it.

An interesting Idea, but it definitely needs better explaination on how this all works in game. I would have liked some SFX for our actions, walking, picking stuff up, processing and so on, along with more visual feedback perhaps, some dust puffs when objects disappear, etc. SFX would have gone a long way for making actions satisfying and impactful. The music was upbeat, but it was very flat which detracted it a little.

Was able to beat the game the second time round once the mechanics dawned on me and I knew what to do, but the first one was lost. I did like the processing UI animation! Good job on the game!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. With more time I would have loved to implement some of the additional features you’ve mentioned. I’m planning to develop this further and will use this level as a tutorial with better explanation of the mechanics. Thanks again for playing!

I enjoyed it for what it is. The contact and interaction was a bit confusing but the thought of picking up litter as a game mechanic was less dull than I imagined before playing. Polish could take this further into being a fun little game. Soundtrack of my day 'beep' boop' beep' lol

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. I’m going to keep developing this after the jam as there are many changes I would like to make to the overall game. But polish week is over for me as I’ve taken the family away on a long awaited holiday

The game visuals are nice, but the gameplay is hard to catch at the beginning. Hope you'll invest in this week of polish :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. Could you elaborate on the challenge you found with the gameplay? I want to make this as enjoyable for all

I would add some sort of accompanied section where players get accustomed to what the mechanics are. That is because the objective of the game is not very clear, and when you understand it, the way to achieve it remains a complete mystery. That, of course, is my personal opinion, everything is up to you, hope to see an improved version soon.

Thank you again, this is really useful and something I will add when developing this further. As I don't have much time to polish, I'll add an objective pop up at the start of the game

The waste meter didn't seem to do anything for me! Also it told me to press E to stop the litter bugs before I had the thing I needed too.  But nice entry regardless!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Incredibly useful. I realised after submission that the waste meter wasn't working when litter bugs were removed from the scene for some reason so will be fixing that. I hadn't considered that the litter bug message would pop and will fix that. Thanks again for playing.

Nice use of theme and great game.
I found it difficult to read the blue text at the start of the game and it's strange to enter in the recycle machine, but it was really fun to play and I loved the song

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated. I'll rethink the text colour and entering the machine is definitely strange and definitely not meant to happen so will take a look at that also. Glad you enjoyed the experience and loved that song the minute I found it!

Good use of theme. I stopped all those litterbugs. Would have liked to see something about you or your process or something about what you learned while building this game.

Developer

Thanks for checking out my game and appreciate your comment. Litterbugs is such a better name for the NPCS! Also, it has made me think of trying to implement so bug models into the game so initially there are literal bugs dropping litter and they become human again when converted. On your advice, I have just written up a dev log on my process (well, as much as I can remember). I should get into the habit of writing down my process as it helps when reviewing and improving skills.

HAHAH actual bugs that liter. I love it. Can't wait to read your dev log.
