Minecraft Tower Defense in 2D. Awesome idea. Really well executed too. I had fun!! Great job!

Thanks bro I appreciate it :)

Once I found out how to mine I had a good time just farming and building things! :D The mouse is a necessity but it is not mentioned in how to play.

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’ll make sure to be more specific in the how to play next time :) thanks for the feedback!

Great idea but 1st wave take too much time to start. But once is there you can mine, and place trap as you mine. Mining a square would be better with only one shot. There is some tweaking to make, but there is some potential to the concept. Great job.

Thanks for the feedback bro I really appreciate it :)

This game is really fun. I like how you combined and executed the mining with tower defense. Though, a couple problems I have is that the peace time is a little long, and when the wave starts there isn't much to do except to wait until it's over. I also thought the music and art are nice. However, I didn't really understand how it fits the theme too much, but good job anyway ;)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed the art :) I'll make sure to create a more obvious connection to the theme in future jams!

Combining a tower defense game with resource mining is such a cool idea and I believe it has a lot of potential. Right now though, I feel a little overwhelmed by the game. I think a thing that could really help you make strategic decisions would be to inform the player about how much damage a trap does and how durable it is. Right now, I just slap down random stuff, hoping it will work, and it just doesn't. Also, having to click so many times in order to mine a tile feels more tedious than fun.

Still, this is a pretty neat entry considering the time constraint of the jam! I think if you continue working on this after the jam, this might turn into a really cool game.

Thanks for the in depth comment, I love feedback like this! You should be able to hold the mouse button down with the mining tool selected to mine rather than click a ton unless you discovered a bug haha! Thanks for the advice and thanks for playing, I hope you had fun :)

Oh, fair, I totally missed that! Ignore the part about the mining, then :)

Another thing I forgot to mention: It seems right now, once an enemy gets to the crystal, you're pretty much done for? Maybe it would be better if enemies did a single hit to the crystal and then disappeared. The way it is right now, it seems a bit harsh.

Developer

you’re right, I definitely could’ve made a better combat system in that sense. Thanks for the feedback man I really do appreciate it!

This is the kind of game  I love to play  and the idea is great , building , waves . but... for the moment  the building resources tools is a little bit difficult to manage , collect.  if you fix this , it could  be really  an awesome game and you could create tons of new features .  good luck with your project.

I appreciate the advice man and am glad you liked the concept! Thanks for playing :)
