good game for someone who just started i would recommend making the levels better bc sometimes you dont know whats ahead and sometimes you have to take damage and there's no way to not take damage

for a first game, this is pretty cool! the main mechanic was interesting and fit the theme nicely, however there could be more to be done. music and sound effects would have been nice and like others have said being able to look ahead would have been nice, but again, for a first project really cool!

For a first game, it's not that bad. Other people already mentioned not being able to see ahead of you, which you need to fix, but what I think what needs work is the effects - It's hard to tell when you get hit by spikes since the player doesn't react to them, there's no screen shaking, or particles coming out of the player.

I think some music and sound effects would help a lot too! They'd make the game a lot more interesting to play.

Thanks for the ideas!!

This Game Seems Really Cool. I Think That If You Made The View Area For The Player Larger It Would Make The Game Much Easier. I Also Think Sound Effects And Particles Would Make The Game More Fun To Play.

This is awesome!!! I have a little trouble with it since the block is just to the right of the center of the screen

Your words are really important to me.

After the Jam, I will create a public version of this game with more features. I will also make it slightly easier to play. Please play that version!

very very well done. I think the life system works well too. It's pretty forgiving and I enjoy that.

Fun game! Although it is very difficult considering the fact you cant see what is in front of you. The take on the theme is cool as well as the art. altogether this is a cool game it just might need some adjustments to get the heights level of enjoyment, but good job!

I know and I had tried to make it better and easier  but unfortunately I was not free for the first 2 days of the jam so did not have enough time

Submitted

Wow 1 day! I don't think I could of pulled that off.

It's an interesting idea for a game that has some potential, I like the concept of choosing the direction of gravity before the game, but the execution needs some work. I was constantly falling towards obstacles I couldn't see and had no way of avoiding. The jumping was difficult to control, I reccomend adding some coyote time and variable jump height to make it feel more responsive.

Overall very interesting concept!

Developer

thanks!

I will surely remake the game after the jam ends
