Talking points of your game
It's a cute game where you use death (becoming a ghost!) to overcome some challenges and help litte Bibi avoid getting the heebie-jeebies from the spooky dungeon!
We think this game is really interesting because the ghost mechanic combined with the light's effect on the skeletons can lead to some really interesting mechanics alongside what we feel is a fairly tight physics system!

I like the lighting effect when in ghost form. The game is a bit buggy, sometimes I would be stuck in a platform when switching from ghost form, though I could get out by switching twice more and you can jump after dying (this is obviously not a big deal). I would have liked if there were checkpoints as I did feel discouraged to keep playing when I would have to run all the way back to where I died last time.
Cool idea for the topic. I liked the idea of mechanics with fire. A really great game in the allotted time.
Nice game! Really liked the ghost mechanic, I wish that the ghost was a bit faster, but I understand that it's all part of the mechanic. It's very well polished and controls perfectly. Cool game! Good work!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Cute! The game has a lot of character and interesting mechanics and level design to boot, overall feeling wholesome and good to play. It's also one of those games that just really gets me itching to write music for it lol.
Great work!
Thank you! I took a little sneak around your soundcloud. Rainy Sunrise has great vibes!
I really like the atmosphere you created and the ghost mechanic was quite interesting and unique as well. Player control is solid, I could control it pretty well. It would be nice to have checkpoints so that I don't have to redo parts I already finished as often.
Totally agree about the checkpoints haha. We had a sudden realisation about 5 minutes before we threw our build up and quickly coded one in but didn't have time for the rest haha.
Impressive game :)
Very nice level design. Difficult, so it felt nice when I would pass a puzzle. Movement control felt a little choppy, but other than that very solid. Great job!
Thank you for the feedback! I think the webgl build is a little laggy, unfortunately! We had other builds for other platforms ready but we had some last minute issues with itch so we had to just go with webgl!
I feel that! The submission crunch somehow always is a mess. I budgeted 2 hours for the submission and only managed to get mine fully submitted in the last 15 mins.
We budgeted 2 hours for it and same for us!!
Fun game! Suprised at how much content you had time to make!
Thanks!! It was one heck of a push towards the end!
I think the biggest thing that helped both of us was planning! We spent Thursday evening brainstorming ideas and searching through our assets, and anything we could find online. We both spent Friday / Saturday getting the mechanics / systems to feel just how we wanted. That spilled over to Sunday morning, but we were able to get it smoothly working so we could focus on designing the level / polish Sunday afternoon!
The two of us have worked together previously on jams, so we had a good system set out, and we both knew what each other's expectations were and how to best support each other!
We used codecks ( https://www.codecks.io/ ) for project management, and Miro (https://miro.com/) for a collaborative whiteboard.
We are so glad you had fun! ♥
Amazing game and art!, i saw you're using a couple of assets and you tied it all up really nice with lighting and such!.
I however found a bug where if you died as a ghost in the third level (i think) near the fire to the right, The player will get stuck underneath the floor.
That said, this game is really good with its visuals and also musics / sfx, i love it
I would like to play more of the game, but i'm stuck on the second floor with the fire thrower.
But a really charming game, GG!
Thank you!
What is causing you to be stuck? Did the button to lower the first flame thrower not work, or have you been unable to make the jump over the second one?
It's only a skill issue, I can't make the jump over the second one xD
Aw, okay! I believe in you, if you want to keep trying!
Awesome, art style is on point, love the ghost mechanic, a cool little game!
