Talking points of your game
On our team, concept was key. We're hoping to bring you a unique variation on the concept in this jam, with some cool ideas to add some depth to the gameplay too.

You are a necromancer who can possess other bodies and use their powers. Your powers drain the life of mortal bodies, but the death of your current body is not the end. When it dies, your vulnerable spirit form emerges, and you can possess another enemy. Jump between bodies and cause some chaos!

All the art, visual effects, audio, music, etc was made by us!

Cool idea. A sufficient number of options for opponents. Interesting game!

Really cool concept! The game was really fun, and I loved how you implemented the balance between killing fast and dying faster so you can possess the bodies before they disappear. I think the game could be a bit harder, but that's just a tweak. Really cool game! Hope you continue this, and add more content, as it is really fun to play, and would love to see more. Good work!

Thank you! We wanted to fine tune balancing, but ran out of time. We're planning to do it and small fixes in the post jam version.

Very fun, and polished in all the right places. The game felt good all around, combat was satisfying and even though its jam art, the animations were smooth and cohesive.

Really my only criticism would be with game balance. I found it pretty easy to survive basically indefinitely, and only stopped after 30k points because the game was starting to slow down (lag) and it seemed there was no further difficulty progression. I think the melee attacker felt overpowered (in contrast to xtr3m3nerd, I actually thought the bigger armored characters were fairly weak!), and its easy to avoid giving enemies any chance to damage your spirit form.

*However*, I really liked that dying strategically was the main way to keep going, which felt very thematic. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Had some fun playing this! Shield guy was way OP though, pretty much wouldn't posses anything else unless I was forced to. I feel like if you made the different enemy types counter each other like rock-paper-scissors, it could make your corpse picking more strategic. Awesome work, loved the idea!

Neat concept, for some reason the wasd movement for the characters was bugging out so the first character you possess doesn't actually have the ability to move.  Once id possessed a second one it allowed me to move and the gameplay loop was really cool, good job!

Really good highscore game!, i love being the assassin and killing 5 guys at once, it's so satisfying. Also love the effects and particles :D

That's the exemple of a simple idea well made! The gameplay has great depth and the art style is efficient enough, we can see it's very polished too!

However I would have loved to be able to change bodies at anytime and not only when the body die.

But that's a nitpick x)
