Very cool idea, but i struggled with controls really bad some tweaks and this could be great!
Thank you! What tweaks would you suggest?
Alternating A and D for movement is fine but with platforming and holding back rockets it was a bit much. Either alternating A and D with less platforming or just a regular 2D platform movement would be better for me.
The idea is original indeed, but I think something felt off. Maybe it's the robot that feel to cute... I you see him agonazide, it's feel cruel, don't get me wrong the games feels good, but I just feel to much every step was in agony. If you have a strong heart go for is a good game.
Poor guy, yeah. The Killbot isn't exactly someone who's happy.
Thank you for playing, though!
I saw this game on when looking through the submissions after they closed and I'm really glad I went back to look for it.
moving while trying to not kill anything felt like playing twister with fingers (positive), I thought it felt very thematically appropriate and from your replies to others seems that was the intention, good job!
Thank you so much for the feedback!
this game is a very cool game exept for the movement i would make it a bit easier to controll and moving while jumping is horror in this game
See below at my replies to another comment, but in short the way i interpreted the theme is a game where you're so overpowered it's legitimately hard to be a pacifist
that's why the controls are the way they are, they're SUPPOSED to be difficult
This would have been a great game if it wasn't for the movement. It just felt to janky, which would have been fine, if it weren't for the fact that you have to alternate between A and D. And not only that, but the killbots attacks interfered with movement, which just makes playing the game more tedious than it is. Really, all you need to do is fix the killbot attack causing you to stop problem, as well make platforming a little easier (i.e, no jumps over pits) and that would solve most of the games issues. Other than that, good game.
That's... kinda the entire point?
The whole point of the game is that you're so strong that you have to hold back your movement and move in a very weird and specific way to avoid hurting anybody. It's supposed to be a very difficult game too. I'll give you the attacks interfering with movement though; I thought of it as a "punishment" for letting the attacks trigger, but in practice even I felt it was a little weird and sometimes frustrating....
Oh, makes sense.
Thank you for playing anyway!
Interesting concept! I just found the movement a bit weird — my brain kinda broke sometimes, lol. Still, a neat little game! If you're jumping between entries like I am, feel free to try mine too: https://dummy77.itch.io/ace-axeton
(No pressure, just if you're curious!)
Thank you! I'll try it out when I have the chance.
Nice concept. Poor innocent killbot.
indeed...
this was so peak, I love the aha moment when you figure out how to play properly, and on top of that it's genuinely a difficult game that feels good to improve at with practice. unironic 10/10 gameplay
thanks!! :)
could not understand anything the entire time, perhaps need better instructions?
You're right, i'll keep that in mind.
Super neat idea!! I love the concept of trying not to hurt anything around you and having to restrain all of your movement. the walking mechanic is awesome! Great use of the theme. The controls regarding holding the button to restrain your missiles and stuff could be a little more clear. I thought only when the missile was active, I should hold to dispel it! I figured it out eventually lol. Great game, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the feedback! I'll try to make the controls more clear in my future games. :)
