Nice story! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GBJam 5 games, if you'd like to take a look :)

The story is very funny and the art is great. I did notice that you can sometimes walk over things you should not be able to.

The tileset instantly reminded me of the original Pokémon one, and after checking part of it is actually from that original tileset. The game was not very well polished: I recognized issues we encountered with Unity for pixel-perfect game, and while not obvious to solve there are ways to improve the look of the game. It also crashed twice for me (which is another side-effect I had with Unity's WebGL export).

On the plus side, the story could become the base of a fun exploration game.

The controls felt fairly unresponsive and I died before making much progress, but I liked the story intro!

I couldn't give full marks on gameboy feel: the assets are all pixel art, but they don't actually follow the 160x144 grid when moving.

I like the story xD The game itself needs some tweaking, as it has some minor bugs (well, I like that you can moonwalk by pressing two directions at the same time... maybe don't change that :P). Oh, and leave some safe space around the stairs, I died after taking some stairs and appearing right in front of a spider :(

I liked the intro and story you thought up for it as well. And yeah, like the previous comment says the hearts are not working correctly. Also building sprites are from Pokemon, but probably just placeholders, so.

I dug the visual style and the comedy premise. Great choice of palette. My biggest issue was with the controls; changing directions felt very slippery. Also think I found a minor bug; the onscreen hearts didn't disappear as I took damage.
