That was cool! The camera is fun to use, the art is proficient, and the character design is charming. I like the spooky soundtrack!

The camera snap sound is a bit loud compared to the other sound effects.

All-in-all, good work!

Thank you for enjoying our game! Some adjustments in SFX are necessary, indeed. Nice feedback!

Love it, mostly, great art, animations, atmosphere & music and I really like the concept and camera mechanic.
A great entry!
That being said I have to agree with others about the camera, it's made uneccessary by the glittering platforms, I had already jumped across 4 "invisible" platforms before I even thought to try the camera, wondering when I might have to shoot something down with a flash bulb lol (Great jump scare btw)
That and the jump is frustratingly small to the point I couldn't continue playing without possible having to break something due to repeatedly dying way too many times haha
It's a similar difficulty to something like Celeste, constantly dying and repeating sections, but you don't have the speed or excitement, so it quickly becomes not only frustrating, but a little boring.
I look forward to playing a post-Jam version with a few tweaks.

Great entry! Love the camera mechanic and the overall artstyle!
However the hidden objects are shiny and you don't really have to use the camera. Even if you do use it, you can just memorize the level layout and forget about the camera entirely.
Also the game is littered with frustrating jumps and beginner's traps, this really needs to be addressed.
One moment in particular made my blood boil. It's where you have to time your jump on a disappearing platform and then jump onto another moving platform.. But you can't see that moving platform, therefore you can't time your jump properly... In the end I was jumping back and forth like 10 times hoping the platform would come before the other one disappears.
Overall - a good game, but definitely needs tweaking :)

First of all, I totally agreed about detailed feedback :) We knew the pros and cons about the mechanism in the stage of development, but we've should decided it.

Thank you for playing til the end, and much appreciated for sharing experiences!

What a great little game! the artwork is very good - particularly the tomb detailing, and especially the bit at the end with the anubis statue.

I think the jump was a smidgen too small, and the monster was a smidgen too fast that I didn't always have time to react to him attacking. Other than that, played pretty well.

Really liked the camera mechanic. Just a shame that once you figure out that the secret platforms are shiny, you don't really need to use it, and then the monster doesn't come after you.

Nice work! Would have happily played a few levels more.

Developer

You figured out exactly how our game working! Thank you for your playing and also detailed feedback.

We have plans to extend the levels and adjust some balanced factors in game, if this game keep making some positive reaction like this :) Please looking forward it.

Making a scary jumpscare on the Gameboy is difficult, and you nailed it. I loved the graphics, the sound is eerie. I loved the photography mechanic. Great game! One of the most beautiful I’ve played so far.

Developer

Thank you so much. We are so proud that you enjoyed our game!

You nailed the spooky theme. The way the camera charged up was spooky, the monster was spooky, the hand pits were spooky. The art was absolutely fantastic. The one critique I have is once I realized the camera triggered the monster it lost a bit of the spooky factor, but nothing can take away from how creeped out I was in the beginning. Excellent job!

Developer

Yes! Spooky theme is definetely what we wanted to show in our game. So.. we created the all elements as spooky as possible.

Thank you for your feedback :)

Excellent game! I really loved the art direction and I jumped a bit the first time I got taken out by the enemy. Once you get the pattern down, it gets easier to progress.

Developer

You got a point! a jump is quite sneaky but it gets easier :D
