Pretty excellent stuff, although it is a bit generic at this point. I didn't discover true ninjutsu because I didn't want to circle the map again.

The most frustrating thing to me was landing on or jumping into enemies because they were off screen. I know this is a gameboy thing but I feel there could be some improved design to make it happen way less. The map is enormous which isn't bad per se, but a less determined player would be demotivated by the amount of backtracking. This is compounded by the upgrades and mechanics themselves lacking novelty.

I'm not a big fan of being lost and I didn't get far, but what I played was super polished. Movement feels pretty good, animations and visuals are nice, music is good and fits well. I think the camera moves a little too hard, and doesn't seem to accommodate vertical navigation. I also didn't see anything really related to the secondary theme. Feels like this isn't far off from a complete game. Great job overall!

my interpolation  of the theme was A  acronym for P.L.A.N.T

"Platforming labyrinth adventure ninja treasure-Hunt"

thanks for playing the gam though!

nice little metroidvania

Wow, what a solid game! This feels super polished and perfectly like an actual gameboy game. Also really nice art and the enemy designs and music! If I had to critique one thing, it may be that it’s a bit too standard of a metroidvania. But that doesn’t even have to be a bad thing and it’s of course all made in limited time, so take that very lightly. Surprised it wasn’t rated more yet. Probably because it’s just for download. If it’s possible for you to provide a HTML version I’m sure many more would play it. :)

Thanks you, I was going to make a HTML port, but I've never made one before, and I could get all the bug fixes done in time for the jam.

anyways glad you think so highly of the game.
