What was the most challenging part of making your entry?
Discarding so many ideas that fell way out of scope

What was the most fun part?
Seeing that Unity WebGL could actually play this many simultaneous audio sources with (mostly) proper timing

Anything else to add? (important controls, assets used, special mentions, etc)
Use a physical mouse with a scrollwheel, you'll want to left AND right click, and use scroll wheel on each step. Assets used are mentioned on the itch page.

WOW!!! This is amazing!!!

Developer

thanks! Did you come up with a beat you'd care to share with the 7 digit code?

No, I did not. didn't really have the time too. I wanted to check out as many as the games as possible.  I really liked this one.

Really impressive and highly polished game. Nice game!

This is fantastic! I feel like I could just play around with it for ages. Being able to mix up the samples with right clicking was a really cool twist. I really loved the clean art style of it as well. Fantastic work!

I survive on the accolades of others. You've bought me another year of life. Much gratitude.

This is a very cool concept - being a drummer makes it more enjoyable. Nice job!

Hey everyone, try this one out, an industrial-like remix of a beat by Futl1ty:  5468EE4     Use 348 BPM

This is super cool!! I can see myself just making cool beats all day on this :D

The presentation and simplicity is awesome, makes me want even more space to make more beats! But very good optimization with the limited board, very impressive!

Here's my save if anyone wants to give it a listen xD: A91CC02

This project is so cool! I felt like I could play around with this all day. My only complaint would be that I wish you could extend the song's length so that I could go on to create much longer pieces.

Also, I absolutely adore the many little elements of polish in this project, such as the way that the PC and mouse jitter when you click on them or the boot-up initialization screen that appears when you first interact with the PC. They're such small touches, but they add some much!

This is the fun little tune that I came up with: A9249C5

Hey folks! Be sure to use scroll-wheel for volume-per-step as well as right-click to change the sample for a step. It can be quite interesting to "mix it up" by using several different snare, kick, cymbal, hihats, toms, and sfx types in the same sequence.  :)    Also, AFTER the jam period was over, I added the Save and Load feature inside the Settings panel. WebGL blocks copy/paste, but I managed to make it just a 7-digital code you can write down so you can share your beats with others, and edit them to make new beats later. Thanks for playing.

Polished look, slick UI and post processing. The gameplay itself isn't anything innovative but I still found it impressive given the time limit.

Developer(+1)

Thanks. There's actually no post processing at all. The only-slightly innovative thing is right-clicking to change the sample. If you "mix it up" by choosing a different sample for each beat, the sound can become quite interesting!

Pressing random buttons on a keyboard can actually sound good. lol. thanks for submitting

seriously your game is cool

Thanks! I managed to add Saving and Loading today, useful if you create a particularly nice beat you want to edit later. I personally would still record any great beats with Audacity to save them as an audio file.
