well I am not sure if I want to hear I'm the best again for some time lol.
Like the atmosphere in the game was dark and creepy the art was great as well good job.
Thank you! :)
This was very creepy! I love the aesthetic of the game with the low-res textures. I also loved how the game progresses and changed as you delved deeper into the maze. Really good qork and it defiitely felt like you nailed the feeling you were going for :)
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it!
good game really well made
Thanks! :)
I don't usually like horror games, but this was a good take on the theme
Thank you! :)
This was a really great experience! You did a marvelous job creating an earie and chilling atmosphere and I felt very engaged the whole way through.
My one tiny nitpick: I would have liked a little more indication that the game was over at the end. I'm not necessarily asking for any narrative closure, I liked how the ending was ambiguous, but something to make it more clear that the experience had ended (for a couple seconds I thought that it might have crashed or bugged out).
Other than that I think that this was pretty much perfect, you left me hungry for more! :)
P.S. I read the reply that you left in which you said that you "avoid doing a lot of jumpscares because it can kill the mood of the game". I agree and really respect your choice! I have a deep love for the horror genre and believe that jump scares are easily it's weakest (and most creatively shallow) element.
Thank you! Yeah I agree 100%. Also originally the game was meant to close, but when I decided to make it WebGL having it close didn't work obviously, so I changed it to a black screen, but I should've made it a bit clearer I suppose. ^^
Oh I see, that makes so much sense hahaha.
Now I'm a little bit sad that I played the web build. I could see how having the game auto-close at the end would be very effective!
I love it when games use that to good effect, it's so evocative.
Very nice with creating the spooky atmosphere! I really wanted to see what happened after the end, it felt like there could be a cutscene and then branch out to more gameplay, which is a good sign because I want more! Well polished and creepy, great potential! Awesome job :)
Thank you! :)
I liked it! The atmosphere you created was very creepy and some of the design choices worked really well. I really appreciate you didn't use any jump scares but you made it spook in other clever ways :)
Thank you! :)
very athmospheric game! the sounds really create creepy mood!
i think i had some bug though - at the moment when i fell through the floor once i felt an there was something very strange with world around, then trying ot move lead to endless fall i think. or it represented the end of the game?
When did this happen, after you got the eye or was it later on?
after i got a hand
Okay so no that wasn't the end actually. I probably should have added an extra collider underneath the floor you fall onto. Sorry about that. This is the first I've heard of this issue, actually.
good:) then i will try the game again and see how it will go:)
Pretty good story, it felt completely random by the start, with the yourdabest sound, but it made me a little spookied with the bridge and the eye.
As tip, when the door is open, it just seems like part of a labyrinth, at least in the second door, after that the scenario was much more distinguishable.
Yea it originally was gonna be more of a Labyrinth but then I kinda moved away from that. Thank you! :)
very suspenseful, you had me on edge from start to finish you will get 5 stars eventually
Thank you! :)
