Cool game. I really enjoyed jumping up to get to the orcs. All of the assets fit well together.  Found a small bug where you can double hit an orc after it dies and it counts as 2 kills.

๐ŸŸข What I liked:

  • ๐Ÿ” Hidden areas were cool and well-telegraphed if you're used to these kinds of games

  • ๐Ÿ”„ Change from top-down to side-scroll was neat

  • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Had the bones of an RPG

  • ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Quest system

  • ๐Ÿ“– Intro story scene

  • ๐Ÿ“ Scrolling text system

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Dialogue system

๐ŸŸก Suggestions:

  • ๐ŸงŒ Goblins didnโ€™t fight back — would be a cool future enhancement

  • ๐ŸŽฎ Controls felt a little confusing at first.
    "F" for interact and Spacebar for jump pair well with WASD, but only the arrow keys were bound for movement.
    This had me using two hands on the keyboard at first, and then later you need the left mouse to attack.
    I'd recommend allowing WASD as well as arrow keys.
    (Nice and easy to set up in Godotโ€™s input manager.)

๐Ÿ”ง Small bugs I noticed:

  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Quest guide text can appear behind foreground elements (noticed this in the armory)

  • ๐Ÿ“ Typo in intro text: "solder" โ†’ "soldier"

โ“ Question: Is there anything after you kill the orcs in the two hideouts, or is that for a future update?

I ran out of time to implement the goblins/orcs mechanics and I did overlook some bugs like the text overlapping, typos and the key bindings.

No there's no Objective after defeating all the orcs but I was thinking of keeping few dialogues to get the feel of 'restoring peace', I'm not thinking of advancing the game as i want to learn game dev more than prioritizing a project currently.

Also the player model was the asset I used from the sponsorship assets and I went with whatever suited or gave fantasy/warrior vibes rather than chibi gacha vibes hence came across the naked one๐Ÿ˜…

I'm not sure if I totally missed something but I couldn't find where to go from the main hall after chatting with the wizard. I love everything you've implemented though, the fact you have a dialogue system in place is crazy on it's own haha. Very nice work! If I totally missed something, please let me know and I'll give it another go!

I thought that might happen๐Ÿ˜… I had put few small black holes on the walls that you had to interact to go to a new place(the hideouts that I mentioned) but I didn't want to make it too obvious, apparently they blended too well with the wall I think.
