Nice game, I like the art style. Some sfx and music background will make the game much better. Also I think that the green skeletons are really hard to fight. Overall great game and very polished animations.

Have to agree with the others, great art style, smooth animations. Too bad that there is no sound, I can really see it with the instrumental/symphonic rock you mentioned... but it's hard to find someone that does sound, we're lucky we had one with some spare time.

What I really missed with the controls was to walk back and swing the sword in the other direction to kite enemies. I instintively wanted to do that against the sword skeletons every time :D

Really like the game concept, it definitely has potential!

Really nice art and animations, and I especially liked how well the animations were tied to the feel of the game (walking speed felt like it matched the animation well, sword swing felt satisfying). I would recommend adding some kind of feedback effect for when you hit enemies, as I didn't know if i was actually hitting them or not. Nice job!

Hi Like the game and the graphics. could do with some  sounds  to make killing the enemy more satisfying and add to the atmosphere . also having an up attach  would make a big difference to the game play.   Keep on with it  :-)

Hey man, yeah we totally agreed regarding sound. We spent ages looking for some sound assets which suited the game whilst being free and open source but despite our best efforts couldn't find something we thought was better than silence...I personally would have loved some instrumental/symphonic rock  for background music to set the atmosphere but sadly we couldn't get anything usable in the amount of time we had left after getting a working prototype going. :)

Hey team, great entry! :)

I understood what my goal was, and quickly mastered the controls :)

To further what DAmieba said, it feels like the sword arc is a little tight (could be extended a bit). This would allow for better handling of those skeletons (dammnnn!).  Not sure if it's by design but if we could face the mouse cursor (so you can backstep/kite) that would be cool too!

Hey man, thanks for the feedback. Truth is we considered a few of the things you mentioned as well as several other problems (ie not being able to attack above or below you but you can still take damage from enemies in those positions) but we were greatly limited by not having an artist so we had to just do the best we can with what assets we could find and their existing animations :( glad you enjoyed it though :D

I did enjoy it :) And I totally understand, not having an artist and being so far from one myself lol :)

Pretty interesting, but it felt hard to hit enemies
