I do feel bad because I have been in that position as an artist, where I made a lot of graphics for a game that just didn't have any progress made on the programming side. And I understand wanting to show off your concept art and what the game was planned to be over what actually happened.
With that said, at the very least you should have the correct controls on your itch page. Space isn't shoot, it's mouse button, and aiming is with the mouse as well which isn't mentioned. Which to me sounds like less an issue with the programmers running out of time and more a lack of communication - did the artists make the controls graphic at the end without knowing how far the game had come along? Or did you make the controls graphic at the start of the month without being prepared to pivot if the game's controls changed?
Also, a lesson to all game jam artists - learn a bit of the game engine you're using, that way you can at least put your background graphics directly into the game and have something on the screen.
The thing is, all of the developers left and the ones who remained didn't know what to do because of bad communication. We had about 3 days to do this prototype and I was the only developer left. The artist made the controls graphic at the start and we didn't have time to implement the exact controls. Thank you for the honest review tho!

The concept art looks cute, but obviously the game posted is significantly less than that. I am curious how far you actually got on any of this?
We had a few days to make the game because of limited time and almost all of the devs left at some point, plus communication was hard since the only artist was Chinese.

Your page art was looking so good it was kinda a shock to see the webGL game. I thought webgl is broken again and download the game but it was same.

Too bad, the screenshots look really cute but unfortunately it seems the built you uploaded isnt working as intended. I am stuck in a grey room with a red sqaure bouncing.
Not sure if I am missing something. But the game didn't resemble the screenshot attached to the page submission. I couldn't work out what I was meant to do. The design looks great from the screenshots so wanted to play it.
We didn't have time to develop more and almost all of the devs just left in the middle of the jam.

Did you forget to upload the latest build? All i see is a template world with minimal zoom capability (with keyboard Q and E)

As said in the description, this is an early protoype and was made in a few days.
