Well the game itself is hard since I'm attacked by two enemies at once and I cannot attack unscathed. I push the Q button but as far as I know it only dash button?
This was hard, for sure. The attack has no range, and the flies are pretty relentless all chasing you down at once.
But, what makes it worse is... there's no respawn feature. In order to restart the level, you have to quit and reopen the game. And there's not even a message that says you died, the grasshopper just disappears.
I maybe could have beaten the first level with a few more tries (I managed to get the flies separated by getting them stuck on the terrain) but because of the restart issue, I only ended up playing about three times.
I loved the game's visuals, and the sounds and writing of the opening cutscene were great!
Thank you for trying out the game! After you die to one of the mobs, you can press 'R' to restart the level. You respawn at the start of that particular level. However I am aware, that sometimes the restart function doesn't work in some of the levels. Changes on enemy behaviors and fixing the attack ranges are next are on our list.
So thank you very much for the insight :)
"Some levels"... including the first, apparently, because I tried that on the first screen and it didn't work.
Also, I should note that you don't have that control listed anywhere - not in the tutorial, not on the itch page. So for most purposes, there really is no restart button.
The game was really hard for me for some reason. It was hard to judge my attack distance, but still it was fun. I liked that it was fast paced.
Good job!
I didn't get far in the game (died really early), but the concept sounded interesting!
