pretty cute game. it kinda reminded me of redball on king.com from years and years ago which is a nice memory. i did not see the boss fight coming and it made me laugh. i would have liked it if the game was way harder but good job overall <3

Developer

Well i wasn't going for red ball but i see the comparison and yeah i feel like i should of added a like boss title card or something or like a GET READY screen but yeah.

Not going to lie the boss fight was a bit surprising and a bit too fast. I think the auto aim of your shots was a slight detriment to the game, it just made the boss fight trivial.

Great job otherwise, the jumping mechanic felt great.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah i wan't to stick to the one button rule of the jam and i did have the up arrow originally be the boss jump but i just thought nah! So i just got rid of the jump and i guess setting the aim to the direction did make it easy but again i can always make a extension or sequel!

HostSubmitted

Excellent philosophy on it. in 3 hours it's hard to know what to do but every game is a new experience.

Nice Game! I really liked the idea of switching controls for the boss. would make a fun longer game with multiple boss levels

Thanks! yeah i originally had the up arrow be the jump button but it still felt like cheating the jam rules so i just removed the jump since you wouldn't need it anyway. Maybe some day i will make a sequel or expansion anyway thanks for your feedback/comment!

A cool small game! Did you use Clickteam Fusion for this game? If so, then you are an absolute mad-lad. I wasn't even able to make a proper game with it XD. Polishing games with Clickteam is a bit hard to be fair, but for 3 hours I think you've done a pretty good job!

Developer

Yes i used Clickteam Fusion, yeah i find pretty simple and easy to build games with it so that's what i use. Thanks for your comment!
