A jam submission

Fin & LeapView game page

It's a very simple, Mario-like game. (p.s- u can pass through the iron and copper)

Great on you for getting started !

having move friction would've been nice. Platformers are all about skill and controlled motion so it'd be nice to feel more in control of the player. I kept landing and slipping off platforms :P

good fun, keep it up :)

Nice classic platform. Great!

This is great for your first game! Had some trouble with collision in the second level, got stuck between 2 walls and couldn't go anywhere. Still very impressive for someone who is just starting out!

Since it's just starting to learn gamedev, this is a quite good project. Some improvement I can think of is reduce the distance the player travel when you just tap the movement button, make it more precision. You can also tune the camera smoothing, it's already built in with the camera in Godot. Make it more pleasant to play. Keep learning and making game!

Nice Game

Great start for just starting to learn game development! This is a cute little platformer.

Some suggestions would be to reduce/remove the amount of sliding that the character does as it makes it difficult to land where you want, and also tighten up the platform design a bit.

Good job though and hope to see you continue your game dev journey!

Very nice start to your game development journey! I had some trouble clearing level one because the traction made the jump before the trophy quite tricky, but I got there in the end. I think with a little tweaks to the physics and some more polish on the level design, you can have a very good platformer on your hands! Keep making games and entering jams--can't wait to see what you've got next :)

Very good start for just learning :).  I would recommend reducing how much the player character slides around on the ground, or make the platforming a bit easier.  The last section of level 2 is really hard haha.  Keep up at Godot!
