pretty good! it's fun seeing the explosions and the chain reaction with the barrels.
The barrel does not discriminate, love the idea of explosive chain reaction, it does make me feel smart when I can utilized it to blow the enemy, but at some point seeing that it can blow up the dragoon as well made me a bit too cautious when to blow the barrel. Maybe saving that interaction to a gimmick level would have a nicer 'break expectation' would be nicer in my opinion. (Because I do really love that house full of explosive level!).
Beside that, overall a fun game!
I like the game in style, but I think it's a bit of a problem that the main mechanic, barrel exploding, is limited by the fact it kills your dragoons, which makes me not want to engage with the core part of the game, which I think is a missed opportunity.
We're likely going to make a post jam version, this and better showing the explosion radius are guaranteed changes.
Fun game! Nice mechanics, not too difficult. I did mostly stop exploding most barrels I came across as I did worry about blowing up Dragoons. But otherwise, I like the level variety.
I loved the art, wide Doki is the best. But also the main thing of all the explosive barrels was underwhelming when at any point I could lose from a chain killing a dragoon. Made it so I can't even enjoy blowing things up, which is all I desire as a gamer haha. Regardless the sounds were nice and responsive, the control was lovely, and the level design was quite good too. The variety when you started using interior areas really freshened it up! Well done!
Thank you so much! This was my first time designing levels and I'm glad they were fun! We'll be changing where dragoons are for the post-jam version, with exception of level 4.
Fun game! Some extra work into the animations and effects would really help make this game more juicy.
The explosion radius is a bit large and also does too much damage. It feels like the enemies notice you from too far before you can even see them, which makes it hard to actually beat the level since you can't see very far. I do like the challenge tho !

really fun, there are some mistakes like the "respawn" text not being pixelated but i feel like that doesnt matter much but i feel like the explosion shouldnt insta kill you, since you dont really know the range of the explosions
