Thanks for bending my brain, it hurts. Like a massage. nice set of levels for a short jam, great job!

Nice concept and increment of difficulty, the only thing i note is the candle collision with the walls but i like it, great work!

Developer(+1)

Ah, I thought I fixed the wall collision issue! XP Thank you for flagging it, I'll improve my nav mesh to fix it!

Nice one! Designing logic puzzles can be hard and you've managed to create a game with 5 levels. If I read that correctly that is your first jam. Impressive! I don't have nothing more to add then the others did. Good job!

Thank you!

Cool concept and loving the use of the theme! Im sure puzzle game levels are hard to come up with and with such a short amount of time you came up with 5 on top of implementation, nice job! Would love to see this further expanded upon with more complex levels and maybe even more mechanics thrown in.

Id probably only complain about the music repeating when changing scenes but others have already commented about that, though I would also maybe say pick a longer track. And maybe some more things thrown in the background to stir up some more atmosphere.

Cheers!

Thank you! Yeah other people really helped and taught me how to fix the music :D It's too late for this jam but I'm excited to bring it to future ones! Appreciate the atmosphere advice, creating moods is not my strong suit, but it makes such a difference! I'll learn more about it and improve in future jams ^^

I'm a sucker for puzzle games so I loved playing this! I think this was your first gamejam, right? I'm very impressed by what you've managed to create! The mechanic is simple to pick up, but can become very complex very quickly, and I think the levels were designed well to facilitate that. It's not easy to design puzzles, especially during a jam, so 5 good ones is quite a feat. The only tip that I could give is that it's a bit repetitive when the same song starts over with every level you load. This is probably because each level is it's own scene, but I'd recommend you look into 'singletons' in Unity. It's a programming pattern that makes sure there's only 1 of something in a scene. That combined with the 'DontDestroyOnLoad' feature will create a nice music manager that will exist throughout all of your scenes, so the music can continue playing, even after loading a new scene. Good job on making this game and I hope you keep on jamming! Thanks for participating!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I was able to do some pointed research today and solve the problem!

I now have consistent music throughout my game on my offline version at home, and I'll be able to bring this new wisdom to future jams!

HostSubmitted(+1)

Hooray! Cheers to learning new things :) If you want you can upload the new 'fixed' build since this is technically a 'bug'. Your call!

Developer(+1)

I'll keep this one as it is a competition and the poorly coded music is the more accurate reflection of my skillset at that point in time, but appreciate the offer, thank you!

Cool simple game

Developer

thank you :)

Nice puzzle game, its really fun. I like the music too, but I wish it wouldn't restart every time you change levels.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I agree, I need to figure out how to keep music looping through different levels as it's a bit distracting in the current form ^^;

Submitted(+1)

Hey, I'm not sure what software you made this in. But if you did it in unity, you should look up "DontDestroyOnLoad()". You can use that on your audiosource, and it will keep playing when you switch scenes!

Developer

I do use unity! Thank you so much for teaching me, I'll look into that! :D

neat concept
tho i feel like the candle's should've have had bigger hitboxes so they can't go past each other
oh, and i like how you added a mug in the background

Developer

Thank you for this feedback! I didn't realise they could pass each other, that's definitely something that shouldn't happen XD I'll keep an eye out for this next time!!

Nice I think a little more could have been done with the background to really drive home the fall vibe, but great work fun puzzle's

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! I realised on the last day the fall element didn't come through as strong as I'd have liked but I wasn't sure how to fix it. Thank you for the advice, I'll be sure to implement it in he future!
