- Very similar to some other titles I've seen for the jam, a bit of a literal translation of the theme, but a fun time! LOVE the TV aesthetic, really completed that arcade feel and great SFX.
- Visually gorgeous, although I wonder if the angle of the screen made it harder for me to aim? I'm not sure tho.
- I think the art style is really great, and the game feels really polished. But the gameplay can be a little overwhelming. There is a lot of visual clutter that makes it hard to tell what is going on, and the mechanic of shooting the edge of the screen to move is interesting, but it just ends up shaking the camera a lot during fights, which makes it even harder to tell what is going on. I think with some adjustments this game could be pretty fun as the foundation is really strong.
How does the game fit into the theme?
In Off Limits you need to push forward to escape, using your proyectiles to force the camera to move.
What premade assets did you use if any?
The sound effects and music and the pilar, everything else was made during the jam period by me
What are the Discord usernames of everyone on your team?
fucboi
Did you use MiniScript for your entry?
No
Did you use Playroom for your entry?
No

Hi, I'm hedge one of your judges! Played at https://twitch.tv/hedge_in at 7:50:00 <3 (Part 2)
Bro, I can't) how to keep track of the walls, the sight, and the 4 enemies and dodge them is problematic.
But as it is, it's just super done, it's a pity I didn't see Rocky.
The video transitions are in the windows version, couldn't include it in the HTML version :/ I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your experience.
This is insane, how did you make this in just a week lmaooo, sticky notes are so clever as well. Obviously the graphics are very good, sfx and music were good, I don't have much to complain about here. Screen borders doing damage is very clever as well, the timer on top of the screen as well... This is just very good...
Thank you so so so much for your kind words, i'm really glad you liked it! <3
damn the graphics are good. I couldn't be worse at the game but I did have fun playing, good stuff man.
Thanks man, i was worried the dificulty might be a problem but glad you enjoyed the suffering 😅
Great stylistic choice with the screen within screen!
Good work, one of the best games I've seen so far here. Though I must say I'm not big fan of constant white flashes. Also would be nice to see checkpoints, like for example on that green thingy after first 2 encounters, cuz I found 3rd one pretty hard and died several times there, cuz of which had to redo first 2 encounters several times.
Totally fair to say that, i thought about adding checkpoints and looking back I really should had done it, thank you for the feed back and for trying it out!
The graphics here are really good, the gameplay loop didn’t really click with me but that’s a personal preference thing
thank you! I wish i could have planned something more for the gameplay to make it more accesible like a tutorial or something but i was absolutly drained by the time i finished the core gameplay 😅
I'm in love with retro, so you presenting this for this game jam ?
That's crazyyyyyy !!!
It fits the theme to a T, the game feeling is great, the ambiance is great, honestly I don't see a fault, except for maybe the camera that's not fast enough to follow the player and the enemies that are too many when you're just starting out and learning the game mechanics.
Otherwise, amazing job !!!
Thank you so much! Balancing a game with such a weird premise was super hard, everyone that play tested it was struggeling with the camera movement, so it waa defenetly a challenge, super happy you liked it! <3
The game is awesome! Everything is well explained, the mechanics are perfectly polished—5 stars all around, bro. I'm going to keep playing until I complete it! 🕸️
Wow thanks! i really thought the camara was something hard to get the grasp on, also in my opinion the windows version looks better, and there are a couple more features i couldnt include in the HTML version, so if you want to keep playin it i recomend you use that version!
Hi, writes the designer of the game “MOMENTUM” of this jam
Honestly, this is an unrealistically cool project, I rather liked not the game itself, but the atmosphere of this project: the hints on the notes, the game in the TV, the 3D effect of the display and sounds and other small details -- excellent work.
The gameplay is also unusual, I've never seen the mechanics of camera movement with shooting before, personally it was hard for me to get used to such gameplay, but complexity is not always a bad thing.
I look forward to seeing you in the winners
Thank you! i tried to be different and mold the theme onto something new! Yes, the camera control is unusual and i was really scared it wouldn't click with players. reslly happy that you could appreciate it <3
Impressive and very polished! Nicely done!
thank you!! happy you liked it
Nice mechanics, nice models, incredibles physics, interesting idea!!!
