Everyone talked a lot about what they think about the other games, but what about your own?
I really think it turned quite good. Maybe the ratings aren鈥檛 as good as I spect because of the difficulty. Lots of people hadn鈥檛 seen the entire game, which may affect negatively on the ratings. Other than that I really think it鈥檚 quite a cute platformer with nice visuals that is indeed a challenge with its unique mechanics.
Results are in and I came exactly where I thought, 59th overall, art and innovation were strong, fun and theme lower. If anyone was interested.
I would have liked to rank a bit better in the overall ranking but I had a look at how other games did and I have to say the way the results turned out seem pretty fair to me.
Thank you to everyone that had a look at my game.
The feedback I have received has been good and I have gotten a lot of useful future ideas from some of the comments. If I am being realistic though my game was not reinventing the wheel so I think my game will have somewhat middle of the road ratings for all of the categories. I might be wrong I am just taking a guess. Ultimately I am just super happy to have completed my first jam with a playable game at the end of it!
I feel the same except for originality, as I've never seen a game where your vision is the thing impacted the most, but if you're able to move right you may still win.
But it's a buggy mess as well, random sprites thrown in trying to make it be logic, mechanics that before the recode were unclear and little content (for now!).
Some of the most fun games ever start as buggy messes, some stay that way, some get fixed, but the main thing is that they are F-U-N.
I'd rather have the most fun game ever be the most fucking fun game I ever play and the most buggy shit I ever seen at the same time than having a bugless boring game.
