I spent way too much time on this game; it's so much fun.
thank you for playing! :)
1.69k is my max height, 2k seems optimistic. This game reminds me of the paper plane flash game. Good work on handling physics, it feels good to fly.
The font is hard to read. For title, buttons, and headers that would be fine. But for labels and long messages, the font should be easier to read, even the common Arial font would do fine.
The ambience and sounds fits all together just right for the game feel. Overall, well done.
EDIT: Also the upgrades section needs a rework, it was confusing to interact. A simple + button next to the bar will be more understandable.
Thank you for the feedback! I did have Flight and learn to fly in mind when I was making this, I'm glad that came through. I agree the interface is substandard, when the person who organized the jam played in on stream they had some trouble with the upgrade system. I modeled it after the ramp upgrade sliders in learn 2 fly, but evidently that same design idea does not come through as clearly.
fun!! i got hella confused trying to hit the asteroids cuz i thought i'd beat the game or something once I did lol. Upgrading was a bit confusing but I'm sure I'd figure it out on my own eventually. The art is simple but on point, although it does get a bit repetitive. Great job :D
thank you!
This game is really awesome! The UI/UX is well done -- I can eventually figure things out, by just clicking around. Small details, like the "possible upgrades" highlighted in white, and the whoosh sound, make the game very satisfying to play. The font is slightly hard to read -- maybe a sans serif font would be better? In any case, that's a nit. The core gameplay is really fun, nice work!
thank you for playing! :)
Very fun! i played until i maxed out my glider! one suggestion i would make is show how much money each upgrade costs. It reminds me of the learn to fly games which i used to play all the time.
Thats a good idea! I had those games in mind while making this so I'm glad that inspiration came through.
It took me a minute to understand the gameplay and controls, but it's a fun and complete experience!
thank you!
The minimalism here is excellent - from the airy sound design to the high-contrast display it all hangs together really well. I could get lost in this for hours. Nice work!
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed :)
