How does your game follow the theme?
It is set in space and has aliens, handheld railguns, and energy blasters.
Did you use any pre-made assets? If so, credit them here:
I used the song space main theme from: https://kyrasvoice.itch.io/8-bit-space-music and the tileset https://aske4.itch.io/free-space-station for the floor

This was such good work for someone who only spent 3 days learning! I'm glad to read that you're proud of what you've done because you have lots to be proud of! It was a pretty fun game, the graphics was nice too! I hope you continue to work on being a game dev, you have lots of potential!
The pixel art is nice. The gameplay flows fine in arcade style. The variety of weapons makes it engaging to keep fighting and discover more weapon types. But I think the lifespan of weapon drops are too short.
You did well in a short time as a starter. I hope you can keep the will to learn game dev as it is one of the most difficult hobby to learn that can often lead to burnout. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the feedback! I can't wait to learn more and make more awesome games!
Considering the short time you've been developing video games, the game is actually pretty good. It obviously lacks some progression, but you can already see great potential. Congratulations!
This is a pretty fun game! Knocked out a bunch of aliens and got to try the handheld railgun, haha. The pixel art is a slam dunk here as well!
Im glad you liked it! this was my first time ever doing pixel art so i wasn't expecting it to be good but im pretty proud of it!
Dang, first time? That's nuts. You should definitely be proud!
actually the floor wasnt me but everything else was
congrats on finishing your first game! Making a game from start to finish is no small feat, and I can tell you put effort into it! ๐ฎ๐ช
Since it's a top-down shooter, I think improving like enemy AI, shooting feel, or visuals ,could make it even more fun by adding more obstacles bc it feels boring rn, . Maybe adding 4th dimension and quantum simulation would help bring it to the next level! But that's very simple for u xD!
That said, first games are all about learning, and this is a solid start. Keep making games, and you'll improve so much with each one! Looking forward to seeing what you make next!
Pretty simple ad pretty fun! good work!
Thanks!
This is a very simple game, but at least much better than mine...
The screen shake effect was a good addition...
And the blood effect when alien hit...
It is much better than the first prototype you submitted... The guns still felt underwhelming...
Maybe if you pick up the same gun again, next time add +1 ATK to the gun because once you get the gun and you pick it up again it does nothing at all for now...
Thanks for the feedback! ill try to improve it and upload a new version after the jam.
This is a great foundation for a game. It is stable, consistent, and very easy to pick up and understand. I would suggest adding more feedback to indicate when both you and your opponents are taking damage.
Yeah i was gonna but i honestly just forgot lol.
