I like the atmosphere with great music and sound effects, but I'm not a fan of the controls. Repeatedly pressing the J and K key is tiring and not fun. Since your game is more on exploring the world, maybe you should use simple controls where the player can move with just the WASD keys.

Beautiful game, calmly introduces you to his apocalyptic world.

The game is very atmospheric with all the cinematic sounds and I like the hear sound mechanic.

I encountered a bug though. In the end I reached a sign showing "to the city" and a promopt wit text "walk away" appeared but when I press Space nothing happens so I am basically stuck in the same area.  Also you can spam j and k quickly to move as fast as you can press those buttons. All in all good submission.

The mechanic of being extremely nearsighted is novel. Excellent choice of music that fits an aftermath situation.  I like the setting that the player is unable to see and desperately has to rely  on nearby visual references and sound to navigate around.

The controls and feedback on movement could use tweaking. Repeated alternate key presses became straining on  my hand. This became an issue on the third screen, where the game glitched on the walk-out prompt didn't work. I thought I had missed something or was in an unused area, so I started mashing J and K to move around the map faster.  This leads to the movement feedback issue, I would think I am moving in the middle of a wide plane, but would find that I am walking into a boundary or an object that can't be passed.

Overall, I enjoyed what I played and would like to see how the character's story would end.

Loved the use of panning sound to direct you! Amazing innovation there!

Game felt really good right away however as you get furthur in, it's easy to tell it was not complete at all.

After you move into the second level, it's hard to tell what you can walk on and not, the sound direction cue no longer works and I can exit the map

Some things to improve on for player experience IMO:

  • Please use a different movement button, pressing J THEN K repeatedly was annoying.
  • Allow us to press Escape to exit the game
  • In the opening sequence, the sounds were amazing but maybe add some visuals to compliment it.

But overall it looked and felt really COOL!
