This was really fun and unique

This was a fun little game! I liked the ghosts randomly helping me and the character design was nice!
I would however like some way to see how far i am in the game, or how many waves I have left.

Visually I would also suggest sticking to one sprite/graphic style, instead of resizing sprites and using different sources!

Well done!

The latter waves spam the same ennemies 100x times and use the same kind of ghost at wave 4.

Also, the ennemies sprites looks really weird compared to the game.

The game was fun to play! The only thing I wish for - some sense of progress. Would be cool to have some wave counter and/or charater leveling.

Super fun game, really good entry.

Music was neat and the combat felt smooth and rewarding.

Touching intro at the start too for the story, loved it!

I enjoyed the “UARGH” sound!

Really nice entry. Great idea to have the two passive helpers. The monsters had fun and unique designs.

Neat game and very pleasant to play. Enemies are original with nice animations.

I like the principle of the genie who comes to help us regularly. At the beginning it's fun and his help becomes precious and indispensable in the higher waves!

The little kill cam at the end of the wave is the kind of detail that adds a real touch to the game.

All this in one week, congratulations!

Hi Nizbel! Nice to see you in another jam! And with a team! Congrats to all of you for finishing your game.

I was pleasantly surprised when I started playing your game. The tidy little story hook with the spirits fighting alongside you as a reveal played out really nicely for a jam game. I had an audible "oh, cool" moment when the ghosts joined the fight. Well done!

Is this game endless? It felt a little slow to build up, introducing enemies what felt like infrequently. I would have been nice to see a slightly shorter experience with a more defined end, but I understand jam timelines. Still a cool experience.

The combat felt a tad clunky and mostly because of the sword delay on swing. That's tough to get the hit animations right because the blade needs to have finished swinging by the time the player lifts their finger. Tough to get to feel right for a jam!

Well done everyone. Keep making games!

Hey there! Thanks for the feedback!

The game is endless as of now, we planned a good ending after a few waves, the warrior would have finished the fight and the spirits wanted him to go on with his life. So the player could decide if he wanted to keep on playing to see  how much he'd last. But we ran low on time.

The enemy spawning became a tad irregular since we fiddled with the difficulty near the end, we were afraid it could be too hard and people would get frustrated and not even see all the ghosts.

It was a bit hectic, especially near the end, since I hadn't worked with a team on a game for many years, but we managed to implement most of the ideas!
