In what way does your game fit the theme?
The game features a chair who's sick of being sat on so its goal becomes to reign chaos upon the humans.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
The code was written by me using Construct 3 and the assets were made by myself and my co-developer, Cam.

Cool idea :D , I would suggest add animation  when attacking with knife I couldn't really tell if I am actually attacking . Overall was simple yet fun gameplay. Check out my game as well :)

Developer

Thank you for your feedback :) There actually is an animation but I mixed up the layers so you can't see it, I plan to fix that after the rating period ends. I will make an effort to try out your game when I get the chance

I really enjoyed it, the music seemed chaotic which might have been the intended design, but for some reason, it didn't feel like it fits the murder theme. I loved the pixel graphics and the gameplay mechanics worked well most of the time (the camera started sliding from time to time). I would add some in-game info about the controls at the start, but in the end, it was very well done.

Thank you for your feedback :) I will take your thoughts into careful consideration when creating/updating future games

Really good idea, I thoroughly enjoyed it! More visual feedback on stabbing would be helpful but otherwise, great game!

I'd appreciate if you tried my game as well, Chaos Arena: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1077360

I love the idea! That art really sells the stabby chair vibe :)

I stabbed a man, he bled out on the ground as was deserved. Then a man ran over to me, and I tried to stab him! But alas, his booty was to thicc and I was sat upn!

More visual feedback to the player as to how the knive stab works would be incredibly helpful!

Nonetheless, is fun gaem :)

Really like the chair animation

Developer

Thank you for your interest in our game. It truly means a lot :)

the idea is pretty cool, but the lvl art makes it quite difficult to see were you're supposed to go/were walls are, spacebar for stabbing doesn't really work when you're not in fullscreen mode.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback :) The player isn't intended to have a knife to start. The knife is a grabbable item placed on the map. The art may be a poor implementation by me. This was my first rodeo with proper level design so it could've been much better put together

Submitted

that explains it, I'll definitely need to check again if I can find that knife!

Developer

Cool! Thanks for showing an interest in our game :)

Ok... what the heck XD. Now I'm going to need to check my chair to make sure IT doesn't have a knife, lol.

Developer

I'm glad you enjoy the lore of the game haha

I like it, even though stabbing doesn't always work, but it's really funny

Developer

Thank you for your feedback :) Could you possibly explain where or when the stabbing doesn't work? I'm guessing it has to do with the human death animation but you never know

Submitted

No matter which room, sometimes I just couldn't stab and I died because of the humans touching me (or rather, me walking into them)

Developer(+1)

Hmm, I'm going to guess the human was beginning it's walking animation. It can be a bit subtle since they don't start moving right away. Since you can't stab a human when it's moving, you would've died instead of being able to stab them. That's something I'll have to look into for sure

I Love This Idea very funny.

The game is really cool. I think the idea is pretty funny. I do wish there was a bit more to do because the game play became a bit stale after a while. I do also wish there was more visual feedback when you lose because I found myself not always knowing why I lost. other then that great game.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback :) I did intend on adding more things like a proper game over animation and additional tasks but unfortunately as a free user of Construct 3 I am unable to do so for now.

i couldnt even get the game to run, but the game cover looks real gnarly

Developer

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the cover, though its playability isn't quite as much as the game itself haha. I've noticed a few people having issues with getting the game going and I'm looking into it :)

I like the idea, but it doesnt seem to work, when you press space to stab it does nothing, same for Q

Developer

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I believe I may have been unclear in the instructions. To stab, you must be holding the knife. To use Q, you must also be holding the knife or a droppable item.

Game doesn't work, i mean i try to press the buttons and they don't do anything.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. I am a little confused as I just tried the game and it seemed to work properly. By any chance could you explain your issue more clearly?
