Such an hilarous game! Needs more polish and better understanding of pixelart rules tho
keep up with the good work!

Would you recommend any good sources for palettes?

Remember to name it "Throw The Dog" :)

You have some beautiful characters! So cool art style! I would recommend to try some color palettes! You can get very interesting and aesthetic results! :)

As for the mechanics, I just love when a platformer includes a second character than joins you in the adventure (extra points for choosing a dog)

Well done :)

This was really solid! The different mechanics with the dog were well implemented, movement felt good, and the level design felt like a classic platformer. Although I ended up swinging around with the dog before getting the extended lead item; not sure if that was intended. Great work! - supersoup

Yeah realised that shortly after the deadline - that setting was left on static variable from a debug script in the first scene that carried over accidently. Next time I gotta start the jam earlier and leave more time for bug testing! Thanks for playing.

Good art, you should fix the tile tearing tho. Fun concept and I really like the character you made. The music stops after a scene transition tho but that's the only problem really. Good job!

Haha, the scene transition pause in music was supposed to be for dramatic effect but now I see what you mean...

I think a switch of music intensity would do the trick.

FigSnout is a platforming game where you control a turnip who finds a dog. You need to throw the dog at enemies to attack, and guide him around the level to solve puzzles.

Controls:

ASDW to move

Space to jump

Click anywhere on screen with the right mouse button to command the dog to move.

Press mouse button three to call the dog back. Press it again when nearby to put the dog in your bag.

If the dog is in your bag or nearby, press the left mouse button to aim and then release to fire the dog. The further away your mouse is, the further he will go.
