In what way does your game fit the theme?
You play as magnet and need to work together with cube people to solve puzzles. Also there is twist in the end that shines a different light at the theme 'stronger together'.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I made everything myself including, modeling, programming and making the music.

the music is cool, and the first impression was like wow, that have volume. i did nt pass the bridge of parts. and i didnt get it, why the nails are stronger together

Developer(+1)

thanks :)

The screws are just supposed to be objects you have to collect but you have to ’work together‘ with the cubes to be able to collect them all

The gameplay could been more interesting, but I really liked the music and visuals.

Developer(+1)

thanks a lot :)

Too much mouse sensitivity, trying to use ESC and see if there is a mouse sentivity slide but there wasn't one and after I click on play you reload the entire scene, you should have added a resume feature. The music and the intro is really nice and good, but if you accidentally pressed ESC and going to watch again the intro, you should have added a skip intro thing. You could have added a simple checkpoint feature so you don't need to pick up all the screws at the start (I'm not sure if the added difficulty not having checkpoints makes it better) or that you didn't know how to put them, you could added so you maintain the amount of screws you have picked up, but the rest is nice, thumbs up!

Very good sounds! I liked how the game at the end turned from an adventure to a horror) And yeah very funny magnet animation!

Maybe you should make a comment and mention there that you need to rename the folder to play?

Developer

thanks a lot! Yeah.. I’ve put that in the install instructions

Nice game.

Using "esc" to pause is a no good, just restart the whole thing...

I had to rename the data folder but it looks nice, a WebGL port would be nice. The graphics are good and I like the cinematic opening as well as the level design

It's a nice game. I like the music.

I had to rename the data folder to play this game.

  • The zip folder is a bit broken. I initially ran into this error (https://imgur.com/a/T96GyxM) but renaming the “magnets_Data” folder to “MAGNUS THE MAGNET_Data” fixed it

  • My antivirus (Windows defender) threw a bit of a tantrum when running it but I’m assuming that was just a false positive (at least, I hope it was)

  • The opening sequence is really clean but I feel like it dragged on for quite a while. I wish there was an option to skip it. I accidentally pressed escape as well so I had to go through it twice

  • I feel like the mouse sensitivity is a bit too high

  • I really like the terrain and the models. It’s incredibly simple but it works very well when used with the dark background for contrast

  • The magnet’s animations are adorable

  • If you stop walking suddenly the magnet’s animation jolts back to its default position which feels a bit jarring

  • The camera’s position relative to the magnet feels a bit distant and the way it rotates feels unnatural

  • If you jump when you’re up against a wall the magnet sort of gets stuck/bumps its head

  • The gravity is a bit low so it feels like the magnet is floating when they’re falling

  • I was quite confused at times. I think there should be some kind of tutorial or maybe just a path the player has to travel

  • Overall, pretty good entry, especially since it was your first 3D game!

thanks a lot for your feedback I will try and fix every single one of your points in my next project when I have more time to figure out how to do most of this stuff especially the things concerning the character movement and animation and getting stuck I found that so annoying but didn’t find any way to fix it. And yes I had some playtesters but I kind of told them before hand what you would have to do so probably it should have had more of an introduction or tutorial.. but also thanks for liking the animation and music and such 😁
