In what way does your game fit the theme?
This fits the theme "stronger together" because must keep your nation from falling apart to rebellion while conquering all the territory on the board.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Pretty much. The music is from freesound.

pretty good game. could use a little work on how to play. I had to self teach myself the game

Developer

Thanks! I agree that could use some work.

Simple, yet fun strategy game. I loved the discontent mechanic, kept me on my toes even when I started emerging as the dominant power on the board. The military mechanic was pretty satisfying, there were some cases where I felt like the battles were close calls, which was pretty fun. Overall, a wonderful game, I love it.

Thanks! those are some of the things I was going for so I'm glad they panned out for you :)

Very simple, but I spent a lot of time playing this game. Well done!

Developer

Thanks :) glad you could have some fun with it.

It's simple, but that makes it great. The avatars of the other players makes things even better.

Thanks! glad you liked them :) I love when games have little characters that bring some personality you can imagine so I'm glad I was able to add them.

I didn't really understand how to play because of the text block tutorial but it still looked very high quality! Nice work.

Developer

Thanks! yeah, it could use a better tutorial lol.

I really enjoyed this game! The idea is super creative and the gameplay is easy to learn, but hard to master! Awesome job!

Developer

Thanks! Thats nice to know, glad you liked it  :)

I thought it would be a easy win, but then a rebellion happened.. and then another one.

I like the idea, but a lot of polish is still needed. It's good enough for a gamejam :)

Good job.

Developer

Thanks :) glad you liked it.

Really interesting concept! Might make for a better board game, seeing as most of the action is unseen.

Developer

Interesting, yeah a lot of stuff is randomized, basically a dice roll, because it's quick and easy. I'd want to make it more skill based if I expand on the idea further. Specifically the combat.

I think it could work similarly to the mechanics of Smallworld, but it would definitely take some ingenuity to figure out how to control the leaders of the rebellions. Might be a good way to bring players back in that had already lost their nation, which is always a bummer when playing a game.

Developer

Yeah I agree. There's a bug where you can still spread propaganda after you lose. I was thinking maybe making it so all the factions in the background could still inluence the ones on the board but it would need to be balanced and thought out more. Maybe it could just be limited to the player and that would be easier.

Very similar to risk, it would be nice if there was a way of rallying troops to ensure that the player with the biggest territory doesn't always win.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I agree, similar to risk.  The combat is basically a coin flip for every 'tick' at the moment haha. The next improvement would probably be delving deeper into combat mechanics, and actual unit armies on the board.
