How does the game fit the theme?
You have limited time to explore the computer and salvage the files. It is best to return them all but you must weigh the risk when deciding whether or not to pursue more files or go home...
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
all from scratch babyyy

I liked the movement system a lot in theory but 90% of the time the level design didn't bring out it's full potential. I could kick off the ceiling but why would I? I'd like to see a game that capitalizes.
But it was very well done!
Thanks for the reminder that I need to switch to linux soon.
Really nice visuals. Great work with the CRT filter in particular, it reminds me a lot of Animal Well.
The platforming mechanism is interesting. It took a bit for me to get used to, but was quite fun once I got the hang of it. It would have been interesting to see what you could do with directions other than up, up-left, and up-right, since those were the only ones that actually seemed useful.
The risk mechanic was pretty cool. I liked that since you're on a timer you can't always sit still and wait for the searchlights to pass, sometimes it's better to run right through them. The only thing I'd change is some of the searchlight placements, there were a few sections where they were impossible to avoid (like when falling into certain rooms) which seemed a little unfair.
thanks for the feedback!
Also the red lights just bounce around the screen at random hence the unfair placements at time. It might be that tracks would've been the better way to go but I do like the variety that the random element brings...
Nice entry! I like how the different paths factor into the risk/reward system; it's cool how through learning the map you can find little shortcuts. I also thought the music was sweet. Well done!
(BTW, it seems that using the arrow keys to try jumping diagonally up-left doesn't work. It works fine with WASD, just not the arrows.)
Very impressive Visuals 😍😍 and Gameplay 🤩🤩
wow this is so cool i love the mechanics and the art, when the star wars intro rolled in i was so happy (i love star wars). The game movement felt so good to control great job 😃👍
thanks! (also legendary pfp btw bingo supremacy)
thanks :D
A nice looking platformer, I made it to the end with the 40 files.
The controls where good after a while I understood how to play with them. I only had problems with the big red areas they where maybe too big but overall the game wasn't too long so it balanced decently still.
The art is simple but nice it fits still and the ending and begin was cool to show it like that! Well done in the Jam!
Nice visuals and platforming gimmick. I'd have liked to see the screens built to use the gimmick more like bouncing off the ground then the wall for additional height
Also, you can definitely cheat half the files by going on one of the higher paths and holding left or right to go to the end of another path but I'm sure you probably know that. It makes it easier to replay at least.
Thanks :)
the 'cheat' is intended. A cool little trick for people who care to test the limits.
Nice job! I really like the art and the mechanics.
Wow really great job! The visuals looked stunning! The fixed camera was sometimes annoying when going up but that was some skill issue too from my part xd.
