How does the game fit the theme?
A detective lost his job and has to put his career, his house, his livelihood all on the line by solving cases to save his town and earn some cash.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Sound effects were gathered from royalty free sources. Other credits and attributions included in the source files. The drawing, code and everything else was developed by me (even though I'm not the best artist lol)

Worked on developing this game for a little some years ago. Stopped pretty early, took a really long break and decided to finally lock in and put in work to finish it for the game jam.

How many people worked on the game?

Great game, took me a while to finally get around to playing it. Well done, from the cut scenes to the cases, really well put together!

One thing about the first case: I had a hunch that the shoe size would somehow translate to the body size but no idea what body size US 16 shoes would fit to. An extra note about shoes (maybe an ad in the newspaper?) would have been a lot of help. In the end I guessed correct but that was just because of the wrong statement the culprit made.

Thanks for playing! I appreciate the notes.

Took a while to figure out how to start in the browser but I got there. I liked the style of the game, sound did not work for me on web though.

Seems like you've had a good story for it and I'm curious to see if you'll add more cases in the future?

Hmm wonder why sound didn't come through the web port for you. Still, thanks for playing and your comment! The goal is to add more cases eventually.

The story is great, and the visuals with tiny details like the TV are amazing.  The art is nice and the fonts are clean. Like it.

This felt like a teaser, but what a teaser! It's a good detective game that makes me look for the clues, and the writing had its hooks in me right when the game ended!

Hope the cases can be more complicated, and it would be even better if you had to present evidence. The art is polish but a bit boring for me.

The game called me a silly goose. I feel called out.

I like the black and white theme with a limited color palette. The art style kind of reminds me a little bit of Henry Stickman. I'm really impressed with how much interaction you managed to fit in along with all the story dialogue. The opening credits were a cool touch too. It looks like you had fun making this, it would be neat to see more cases.

Appreciate it. Thanks for playing!

Loved the dialogue, it was funny and made me laugh. Especially the name "Sucticious". Super cool stuff :D

Thank you!
