How does the game fit the theme?
Risky investments and at the end you get a biscuit if you win.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
some solutions are inspired from stack overflow
some code for HTML was copied from developer.mozilla.org
Mainly just HTML boiler plate or something that i would have just written out myself.

Cool idea, it looks like you were inspired by Papers Please?
I think you have an interesting concept and baseline. Adding all kinds of background info and misleading checks and things could make for a very interesting game :)
Thanks for playing!
Papers please was an inspiration for sure! I also try to make new things and I hadnt ever done a game based on documents. And it feels like papers please is the main "Document game"
I had a lot of fun with this game! Perfectly fits the theme!
Thanks for playing!
I'm glad you had fun!
The amount of awesomeness i got when i gambled 10,000 was just amazing
I hope that major gamble paid off :)
I love gambling
Gambling everything is the fastest way to win or lose the game :)
A simple but entertaining game for a while. Maybe to make it more interesting you could add some short-term goals for the player, like advisors who give more info about how good the person requesting money is in their field, maybe their criminal record, or even being able to pay an investigator for more details—just throwing out some random ideas. Good job!
Thanks for playing!
I appreciate the suggestions too! I thought about adding more documents you could look at. And the investigator is a good idea. Being able to spend a little more money for more info would have been a good mechanic
Good game, made me experience joy and disbelief. I'm not sure html/css is a great tool to make games, still, impressive.
For this kind of game that uses a lot of UI for it's gameplay, I think it makes sense to use html and css.
I'm glad you played the game!
I think it works if you plan well, and don't need to simulate a 2D/3D world space.
For me it was really fast to create and add new things to. The Total file space is ~2mb, so it basically loads instantly. plus, no compile time.
