Good game! I really enjoyed it—I ended up playing for about half an hour without even noticing. It’s simple yet entertaining, and I liked that some equipment wasn’t just about adding stats but also had unique effects, like earning gold from a specific set piece, for example. Great job!

The game is good and I really like the pixel art. Maybe you could add some natural light sources on the map, for when you run out of money (or if someone’s being stingy or just looking for a challenge). I’m not fully convinced about having to buy inventory upgrades, since from the start—even if I wanted to—I can’t really risk carrying multiple items because the flashlight is a must-have, leaving me with only one free slot. Still, the game is good—I’m just complaining because I can, haha
The game looks interesting, and the shaders and artwork are really good too! Some things that could be improved are, as others already mentioned, the text on the cards is almost unreadable due to the window size. Another thing is that it lets you play cards while you’re out of combat (unless that’s intended, but I mention it because it felt a bit odd)
I like it because it reminds me of old games I love. I also enjoy that you can use the environment as a weapon. A few things I didn’t like as much are:
-
The character movement felt heavy and not very maneuverable (though that might just be a matter of getting used to it).
-
Closed spaces with no escape (there are only a few, but still) where the only option is to shoot at enemies coming toward you and hope to kill them before they reach you.
-
In the early levels (playing on yellow difficulty), it felt like there were too many enemies, each requiring several hits to kill, which didn’t feel difficult but rather a bit tedious.
That said, I did enjoy the game—I just wanted to share my honest point of view. Good job!
Very interesting game! I didn’t really understand much of what was happening at first, but everything clicked once I managed to brew my first potion, haha. (I didn’t notice the play button above the recipe book—I’m not sure if I was just blind or mistook it for table decoration, and I even ended up skipping a day because of it, haha). I like how the game looks, and if I had one critique it would probably be the animation timing
I love how the game looks and the animations! Not gonna lie, it took me quite a while to get used to landing the perfect shot after the first enemy dodges, since it happens so quickly. One thing that might be worth reconsidering is that when you have more health than the enemy, you can basically win just by spamming shots, since both sides lose 1 health each time (at least with the basic bullet)
A simple but entertaining game for a while. Maybe to make it more interesting you could add some short-term goals for the player, like advisors who give more info about how good the person requesting money is in their field, maybe their criminal record, or even being able to pay an investigator for more details—just throwing out some random ideas. Good job!
I love the visual style! I enjoy Vampire Survivors like games, so I had a great time with this one. It would be awesome if the concept were also applied to something else, like maybe areas on the map where you gain 2x experience but have to stay inside a circle (which gets tricky when enemies are constantly coming at you). It would also be nice if some enemies had special abilities
Good game! I ended up playing for quite a while without even noticing, haha. Maybe one critique could be that the gameplay mostly comes down to rolling dice until you get two skulls (possibly one-shotting the enemy). The only real moment where you have to decide whether to take a risk or keep going is when you’re unlucky enough to roll two skulls in a row and don’t have a shield to protect yourself. But even with that, the game is fun, so excellent work!
