I was surprised by the fact we could jump in a top down view, but it was pretty cool learning this new game

Interesting point of view -- that made the game interesting and challenging!

I got stuck at the levers (probably because I'm  stupid) but I really liked the jumping system from above, maybe you could try toning the colors down a bit :)

I never imagined a top-down platformer, but the height system is cleverly implemented. Such an interesting game!

Wow, first time I see a top-down platformer, interesting but a bit difficult because of the tricks

I have a blast playing this game!

Very unique way to give player clue about the height of the platform they are about to jump to. Great level design, very challenging.

Overall, good job!

Wow, a top-down platform is a very interresting concept. It works very well in your game and  and art and music are spot-on, well done :)

I have never seen a top down platform I think :)

Nice idea, I think it could work with a theme a little bit better but still very nice!

whoa, the top down platforming mechanics are genuinely kinda cool which I wasn't expecting: its like a puzzle for which platforms are ones you can reach and which ones you can't, where you need to really think about the lighting on the platforms. super cool! enjoyed it a lot, nice work!

Top down platformer! Nice twist on the genre.

Only feedback: I feel like you could give the platforms a little more room to allow the player to not fall off so easily.

Awesome game! Very nice level design. The best part about the game is that you made everything yourself and didn't download assets from the internet unlike me :( Overall I enjoyed playing the game.

Catchy music.  Controls were intuitive.  The use of darker tiles to show height in a 2D game was a neat idea.  Some clever level design.

I liked the game overall, it is a very good idea, though it did seem very frustrating for some reasons:

  • The "Troll" platforms were way too unnecessary. I mean, why? The first time they appeared was okay because it felt like a choice, but then it started to get really unnecessary.
  • There is no "Coyote time". What is it? In most games, there is a small window after you fall from a platform where you can still jump. In your game, the lava kills you instantly if you don’t jump in time. You could implement something like a 0.3-second grace period (or adjust it as needed), because right now, it feels like even though you pressed jump, it didn’t register. I have found a video that should help you understand Coyote Time if you don’t know what it is:
