How does the game fit the theme?
It is a creature collector game without combat (hence nothing goes wrong). It's all about the joy of collecting without the RPG elements that, while fun, add a degree of stress to the experience.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All assets except sound were made by me. Sounds were public domain free assets.

Great Game! I had fun trying to find all of the fossils. The art was amazing and the sound effects were very good.

Very cool game and cool idea I really liked it. Nice work!
I would only like to be able to change the volume of sounds.

Lovely and a game for everyone. Peaceful sounds and a true feeling of finding something new. Cute!

A fun game to let time slip by for sure! I had a good time trying to find as many discoveries while digging as possible and each time started to mess with more of the tools until I figured out how to play better. I got up to 30 discoveries before I pulled myself away :D

Very fun game! you can play for along time without noticing, is quite addictive, good job!

As other comments have also mentioned, it really reminded me of the Pokémon Underground gameplay. And thus it was very addicting to play and collect the fossils. Nice job!

As a direct 1:1 translation of the underground gameplay from Pokemon it's amazing, I can see it being fleshed out like something similar to Digseum or other games in that genre. There are collectathon/creature collection games where you don't fight so I think the "Nothing could go wrong" theme is more on the opposite end because the stress here is that you have a limited amount of points until the dirt collapses.

Super Addicting Visuals and Audio are perfect, well done

I feel like the gameplay itself could maybe use a bit more depth but I have very little else to complain about. The art is phenomenal and this is strangely addicting for some reason. Good stuff!

Oh hey! Your game was also so cool, thanks for playing!

Oh my god, it gives me Pokémon pearl vibe, i’m this old?
I really enjoy your game, all the three tool a great, the googly eyes on fosil work well, i really want to catch them all!

Unfortunately, I don’t think the game matches the theme very well. Otherwise, I really see your game with improvements, it deserves to be pushed a little more in the gameplay but especially in the sign and feedback and you will have a great game!

and the fact that it is done on godot makes me very happy!

Appreciate the feedback. I figured that the sheer number of creature collectors that focus on copying pokemon's combat system was reason enough for this to be standout for the theme but I see where you're coming from. Glad you enjoyed my pokemon nostalgia train xD

Amazing execution! Every action feels great in this game from mining a block to discovering a new fossil.

If you want to add new features: an evolution system where mining the same fossil increases its level until it evolves? pokemon intensifies

I don’t feel the theme sadly, I saw your explanation but I mean “Does any game without combat would not go wrong?” TBH, I even thought “Ahhhh this would be so fun with combat!” when reading your comment

Ooh some interesting ideas to consider, the evolution one is one I hadn't even really thought of... Glad you enjoyed!
