Interesting game, but the overlapping paint layers seems to not work sometimes.

As a direct 1:1 translation of the underground gameplay from Pokemon it's amazing, I can see it being fleshed out like something similar to Digseum or other games in that genre. There are collectathon/creature collection games where you don't fight so I think the "Nothing could go wrong" theme is more on the opposite end because the stress here is that you have a limited amount of points until the dirt collapses.
The game looks and sounds good and it follows the theme of the jam but it being so unforgiving and strict will probably only hurt it in the long run. If the game is going to end at any mistake it would probably be better to not immediately make it difficult because after a few attempts and only getting maybe 20 notes in I just gave up and moved on to the other games and I imagine others would give it far less time.
There is a reason why these types of games allow you to make multiple mistakes or have a scoring system.
I liked the game very much, escape room puzzles are very difficult to do and I think you did pretty well. The only thing I would critique it on is that intractable areas should be more noticeable because I happened to stumble on the lightbulb by sheer dumb luck.
If anyone is stuck: When you use the remote on the tv the drawer to the left of the oven opens but there's no indication that it does, also you have to use both the screwdriver and lightbulb on the bottom left corner of the hatch.
Honestly, I thought about quitting the game on the second run back to the computer but stuck it out when it told me it was almost over. This could have been a much shorter experience and it would have been more enjoyable.
Not bad but length doesn't mean quality and 90% of the game is holding one of the arrow keys while nothing happens.
I like the craft motif; the buttons being your health meter was a cute idea and I like that the sword is a single half of a pair of scissors. They only complaint I have is that the boss hitbox would be a little inconsistent sometimes and it feels like I was getting hit by it when I was outside of it's range but it wasn't unmanageable or anything.
I was serious about getting the secret ending so I spent countless times getting tagged and then ramming myself into the boss to restart without having to re-open the door and I think I actually teared up when the secret ending played.
Cute game that has a lot of potential. Only had a few small complaints.
It took a little bit to get my controller to register but I think that had more to do with it being a switch pro controller.
I think that the characters walking speed is just a tiny bit too slow and that the purple yarn balls were a bit hard to see in the pink cliffs but aside from that it was great.
