How does your game fit the theme?
Our menu screen starts 'calm'; the tree is bright and the environment is sunny. Upon pressing play you 'enter the storm', which includes rain, cloudy skies, and wind blowing the trees. You have to mash the right buttons to keep the tree rooted in the storm!
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote all the code by scratch; all the art was made from scratch; the music was from public libraries under fair use.

I smashed the hell out of my keyboard, haha! Nice game :)
Its a simple idea and it's done well, I really like h9ow the game looks overall too. One thing I'd just say is to have a shadow under the tree's sprite to make it appear more grounded, the rest of the art is shaded really well so it just looks a bit off putting. Otherwise, good job!
Very simple concept that was executed excellently, one thing I would suggest would be to add flying object for which you would have to press keys outside of wasd + space to add a bit more variety, but other than that everything in the game was amazing, great job!
It's a simple and easy-to-understand game design. I love how the coconuts represent life.

I appreciate your definition of button mashing is at a rate where I am not destroying my hands or keyboard. There are a lot of button mashing games that are not willing to do the same. 💗
This is a good game with decent polish, however I do feel that the core gameplay could be a little stronger. But in a week this is a very well done job.
