The visuals are very well done especially for a game jam game! I played it on low setting because everything else made my laptop lag. Either way very atmospheric but I got a bit frustrated when the ghoul attacks and I don't even notice it half the time and that ends the game.

Amazing game!

Man am I terrible at horror games. That, or the game was just very difficult. Probably the latter. This was a pretty good and pretty scary experience. You've done well with the lighting and the mechanic of the monster hopping around randomly when lightning strikes. More than once I was searching through a room only to have him pop up right in front of me, eliciting some very embarrassing reactions as I quickly scrambled out of the rooms.

Things I can complain about being thusly:
-The flashlight runs through power a bit too quickly, many runs I had to intentionally die and restart as I was wholly unable to effectively navigate once I ran out of batteries.
-The camera's motion smoothing made controlling the character very tedious and difficult. That would not be much of an issue if most of the things you interact with weren't tiny objects like keys or batteries... but they are, and their collision boxes are quite unforgiving.

Other than that the game was quite alright. Your team did a good job making a full-fledged indie horror game. The type of thing I would see in a video by Markiplier or some other gaming youtuber.

I am very afraid of such realistic games, but I still decided to run it and yes, the atmosphere is conveyed perfectly! The graphics are super, but scary for me. The sounds convey the whole atmosphere of the horror!

You did a really good job capturing the atmosphere. I really like the design of the ghost, and how it interacted with the storm. My only point of feedback would be that the post-processing effects were a bit too strong, and there was a couple lighting bugs that I ran into that sort of broke the illusion a bit. Overall, great game and good job!

Pretty good horror game for a game jam entry. The higher graphics settings don't really look great IMO since they are over-saturated with post processing like motion blur, and even lagged too much on the highest setting. But otherwise, it's fine.

The monster ended up getting me pretty good at one point because my flashlight died and with the little light in the room, I thought I could just barely see him crawling on the ground in the darkness. But in reality, that was just his shadow. The lightning flashed at just the right time to reveal that he was right there in my face before he got me and the game ended. The lightning ended up creating a jumpscare for him even though there isn't one normally lol
