Easily one of my favourite games in the gamejam, really liked the design and the sounds of the game, the intro was very nice and was a good fit! The metaphors and the gameplay (especially) the artstyle reminded me of Don't Starve and Limbo, the music was a bit too loud but that wasn't really an issue, the hitboxes sometimes got me stuck and I could sometimes clip out of the map and jump on walls, but that was the only game breaking issue I found. Great job!

So happy to hear that it's one of your favourites. Thanks so much for playing.

The menu and opening scene look really beautiful and remind me of OMORI. The audio, the images in the polaroids and gameplay are also nice. However, the character's jump and interaction animations are a bit weird because they look like they are getting played when the move has already ended (e.g. the character crouches to hit the ground after it already has been destroyed without an animation). Overall, I like this game, but it needs a bit polish.

woah the game menue is really nice, theres a kind of texture on the button, you can add noises with post processing that loos much better. I love the gane and the enemies are really cool, a lot of sprites doesn't fit together(for ecample the player is detailed but the background not). The animations are really not good, you need more frames, but mine are noot good too ahahahah. Theres a kind of bug in the jump anim, but I love the double jump(there works the jumo anim too) really good game, good job!

Extremely sad game. But I think it's supposed to be so good job. The colliders are very unforgiving (I would make the colliders slightly smaller than the actual sprite) and I didn't get past Denial (but it's also a skill issue on my part) The jumping animation is also kinda strange. The music was very fitting and helped with the atmosphere a lot. Overall, Good work!

Developer(+1)

Sorry that you couldn't beat denial. Thanks for playing and your compliments on the music.

it Effectively captures the stages through its varied levels, showcasing creativity with mechanics like moving backwards and using weights. While some mechanics could be more polished and certain aspects like music might need fine-tuning, the game offers a unique narrative-driven experience.

I really liked the presentation of the Depression level, definitely my favorite part of this game!

I also liked the idea of moving backwards in the first level and wish that that could be expanded to the other levels and given more narrative depth to it.

That being said, I think that some of the mechanics could do with some polishing. The level design of the first level feels slightly awkward with the jump mechanics. A snappier movement system would go a long way in helping the movement feel good. I'm also not too keen on the music, especially with the Anger level, which feels way too bombastic and out of place with the other songs.

I do like your take on the theme though! With some more polish I could definitely see this being a good game to play. Keep up the good work!

Really wonderful interpretation of the team! Also loved the different mechanics in each of the levels, especially the using weights one. Kudos to the team!

Submitted(+1)

Brilliant ideas here! Having to go backwards for the purpose of the game's intentions, or using weight to go through obstacles, great touch. We really feel the sadness in the protagonist's eyes, well done to the team!

Really great idea, congratulations for doing everything yourself.I found the animations of the player in the game a bit mechanical but all in all it was nice to play. Good job

the concept is what made me keep playing the game to see how it ends.
it was simple and solid, had some animations not lineing up correctlty when pressing buttons sometimes but overall it was a sad story with an happy ending. :D

Great game! It has interesting ideas and interpretations of its topics. Though I found it frustrating that there were no checkpoints between the levels. Overall, I like it :)
