Game's take on the theme
The usage of an “exchange” mechanic in CHROMASHIFT is two-fold. First, one can Exchange which of the six bosses they are fighting on a short cooldown; if you’re having trouble with one, or have absorbed the weakness of another, swap out! Second, the player’s parry can absorbed colored attacks, storing them for the player to fire later. Bosses are also weak to specific colors of attacks, allowing for one to Exchange attacks between bosses for a combat advantage.
