How did you/your team interpret the theme?
The theme didn't really inspired us but here's what we think of : The player helps the hero on his journey. The player does not directly control the hero's actions but can influence them, for example by opening a path to an object for him to take. The player has a set of items to place at the start of each level. Then, the game is simulated, the hero will go to the nearest entity and acts with it, for example he will lookup for a weapon if it's accessible, will attack the closest enemy or will leads to the door if it's nearest than something else.

How was your/your team's experience in this jam?
Not simple with some motivations loss which led me to finish in a hurry the game at the end of the deadline, that's why the game looks pretty unfinished (lack of music and interesting levels) but we have at least something to show.

Very fun little puzzle game! I love the graphics they're very cute but I was a little confused first playing what i was doing but I think i just hit a bug where the game wouldn't progress, but reloading it fixed it :)

Thankx you very much for your feedback :) Yeah, there is a bug when your are placing an item and you immediatly press “Run” where the item got teleported at the position you clicked on the button. I don’t know if it’s that bug you encountered though, sorry about that also.

Despite being a little short (which is by no means a strike against you at all lol, it's a game jam, the games are expectedly short) this was a really fun concept and surprisingly well executed for such a short jam. I really think this is something that has serious legs to expand into a fully fleshed out puzzler.

Literally my only minor gripe is that I think it's maybe not the absolute strongest with the theme. I like that you're helping the hero, but in doing so it sort of makes you the hero to the hero anyway. Still, such a minor nitpick to what is an amazing little game otherwise.

Developer(+1)

Thankx you very much for your comment :) Effectively, the game is short but not on purpose, we just didn’t work on the game every day as we had motivations losses, but glad to see that you still enjoyed it! For the theme, we just say two options, being the villain or being the side character who is helping the main character, we choose this one as it most inspired us. No problem anyways in your feedback, thankx again :)

Wow! I love a good puzzle game. I wish there was more to play! This is such a great start to a game I'd love to see it developed into a full blown puzzle adventure game. Nice work!

Developer

Thankx a lot for your comment :) I don’t promise on working on the game after the jam but I appreciate your encouragements :)

I really liked this game! I'm a sucker for puzzle games, and this one was designed extremely well! Tight, snazzy, polished, with good art and clean everything! Extremely well done!

I think the only thing this game needs is more mechanics/levels! Maybe there's a potion you can drop to heal the knight, or a slice of pizza to distract the goblins!

But I do respect how short and sweet you kept it! Did not tire of this game at all!

Again, really well done!

Thankx you very much! :) I like the ideas you gave, however I don’t know if we will update it after the jam, but I appreciate it.

Yeah godot gang here, haha. Thankx a lot again for your comment :)

Wow, your game is great, the gameplay is simple but has so much potential, the art is good. Would love to see more levels. The sound design can be improved i think and adding a music would be amazing. A short but very good experience, sad that it's so short and not very challenging.

Developer(+1)

I totally agree with you, I think the game looks visualy good but it is short and not challenging. And yeah, it lacks of a music. Anyways, thankx for your feedback and for playing our game :)
