That's a nice take on the theme. The upgrades feel genuinelly impactful, so I like how there is some strategy to taking damage. Excellent visuals and animations - very juicy - especially the background graphic and the menu and death animations. Simply - excellent work there ^^.
One thing that could use some more work is the level design - it's very confusing, I kind of got the idea that I should be heading down and to the right, but I was feeling very lost. A small thing that would help a ton, would be to have some parallax movement of the background - it feels very weird when you're jumping, moving all around and the background is completely static. That definitely adds to the confusion. Another thing that I found and I'm not sure it was intentional -if you're next to a wall and mash [up] you can climb walls. It kind of looks like a big, but if you give it it's own animation you could call it climbing :p

thanks for the feedback. It's really helpful. Parallax is definitely something I can add and the climb thing is "intentional" in the sense that I found it and decided to keep it bc I liked it. I'll definitely keep this all on mind in my next big project. Thanks again

Good Game! There was one problem though.. player getting stuck on the ground while walking. Maybe you used to box colliders on every different object. I recommend you used Tile Map and Composite Colliders which will get rid of getting stuck Problem. good effort Btw

Thanks! I did use tilemaps for the environment which is why I was confused I came across the bug so often but couldn't find a solution. I'll have to look into composite collider

Great concept! I was able to wall jump since my character got stuck on walls. Not sure if this was intentional? I did also get the same crash on my final hit. But the game play was actually really cool! The different abilities as you lost health was a great touch and one of the better executed ones on the jam since they stand out!

Thanks! And ah no that's bad. Must have something to do with the build because it never crashed in the editor. Tbf the respawn screens is one of the parts I rushed too much. Thanks for the feedback though! I'll make sure to try your game to

I liked this it was cool and had a good concept but when i lost my last life the game crashed on me.

but It was pretty cool

Aww no really? I think I over-scoped a bit and the game ended up pretty buggy. I can't seem to replicate the crash on my PC. I'll have to look into it
