Really fun and original !
The music fading in menus is a really nice touch :-)
Kudos !

Developer(+2)

Thanks for your return. Music was made with a TE PO-20 by Pikevchu (it was his first jam with this instrument) and we are very happy with the result.

Wow I love the idea of the game! The art looks fantastic, and even for such a large team, this is an extremely accomplished product! I would recommend using a html (browser) based game next time as it attributes to a wider appeal and therefore more ratings :D

Developer

Thanks for your report !

You're right about the fact the we better use a browser based next time, but this one couldn't fit such implementation because of the need for notepad and file access, thus we limited the game to windows experience.

But we did speak about that, and we know we should do a brower game next time.

Anyway thanks for your try on our game !

No worries! Just here to help! Hey, In the meantime, would you mind checking out and rating my game? A rating would be much appreciated thank you!

Developer

Thanks for your returns and suggestions. Yes we will make a web browser game for our next jam, we see the correlation between the number of rating and if the game is playable on browser or not :).

I will prepare a testing session for this evening so I add your game in list.

I loved everything about this game. I exidentedly closed the game in the middle of my run and was kind of angry as i thought i had to start all over again but than i discovered that your game even saved my data and i could start in the level i was bevor i closed the game. I don´t know how you did this game but you deserve a lot of attention and hopefully a spot on the top of the rankings for it.

Please make a full game out of it. I´m allready a fan and i love the charakter design.

Developer

What a wonderful message ! Thanks a lot for your return and I am very happy that you enjoy your run of our game.

Yes, we really want to continue the game after the jam. To fix some bug and actual functionality (like tutorial :)) in first time but we are thinking about a lot of new mechanics for a full game.

Hope to see you in futurs versions of Don’t trust the devs ;).

Very cool!😎

Very unique

Developer

Thanks for your return and hope you enjoy it.

So unique! You really have to expend this text file mechanic further! Also speed up the text a little ok? :))

Developer

Thanks for your return. We have a lot of ideas about the text file mechanic (others kind of block, files, cheating, …). For the text, yes, I think we will rebuild the tutorial with the possibility to skip the dialogs (like 2D RPG). Hope you enjoy the end ;).

Submitted(+3)

Very unique game mechanic that was really enjoyable! I felt like the text would have been better if it appeared faster and then stayed until you pressed a button to continue. I had trouble reading through some of the longer dialog before it just disappeared. Overall, I really enjoyed the game!

Developer

Thanks for your test ! There is a high chance we publish a new version of the game after the jam is over, with improvment and new level, so keep in touch ;)

Great game! Great idea, but sometimes it works not pretty well. But I think I never would have guessed this idea!

Developer

Hey ! Thanks for the review. Can you be more specific on "it works not pretty well" please? :D

Submitted (1 edit)

Sometimes I can view ghost-blocks (that I can't hit with my body, but i can view it).

Developer (1 edit)

Those blocks appear when you tried putting too much blocks in the scene.

You have a little counter under your life bar, and if you put too much blocks in the stage, the counter will turn red. When it is in this state, random block will become "ghost-blocks" which you will fall through !

Use the limited block quantity per level to prevent the glitchy blocks from appearing ;)

Submitted

No, I restarted the level and there was a lot of ghost blocks.

Also dialogues are too fast. Add pressing on button to move to next message.

Developer

Yes, we had some … complications … with the dialogues. We will modify it and offer the possible to move to next message in futur (after the jam). Thanks for yours returns.

this is great, I'd love an entire game based just around messing with a notepad based level editor like this.

Developer

Thanks for your test ! There is a high chance we add new level to the game in the future, so keep updated ;)
