its pong, its asteroids, its fun!

the collisions were a bit weird, and i think the mechanics would've lended themselves better to a square screen and a smaller paddle.

however, the graphics, animations, and physics were all very smooth and sleek, and i enjoyed the music. definitely the start of a cool arcade game :)

The way you can orient the paddle to slide between bullets feels a bit like Kuru Kuru Kururin.

Took me a bit to figure out what was going on (because I don't read instructions), but really gelled once I figured it out. Compelling loop, good music, graphics simple but with a nice feel. Really liked the idea of having angled planes on the "flipper ship" to bounce in different directions. Second the call for keyboard rotation controls. I think it might be interesting (if you haven't tried it already) to see how it works with the standard asteroids controls, which would take care of position and rotation as well as being more "spacy"... If you really want to excite the nostalgia factor, suggest vector (instead of pixel) text.

Cool. I like the colors and movement.
If remember Asteroids, any time the ship went off screen, it appeared from the other side. I think that would work for your game too. Adding some  inertia would make the movement feel more natural.
I did find the mouse difficult  for controlling the paddle. What about a key-down to rotate clockwise, another key to rotate counter clockwise?
Great job, it's a cool concept

If you haven't rated it yet, try "S is Shot" it's pretty similar to yours.

I played a few times, very enjoyable. It's an interesting new concept for sure, maybe it could be extended and balanced once the Jam finished.
